WMP Codecs

I don't know if it has been posted here before(search for q8 returned no results) but I've stumbled upon something that might be useful. Maybe something to give back for all the cooked roms I've used. I'll quote the text files that came with them below. Enjoy.

Real media decoder plugin for Windows Media Player 10 mobile.txt:

I stumbled across this rm decoder for WMP mobile in another forum. 1O_+6|+b
Just Download the .cab file and install.
can play rmvb in WMP mobile.
I tried this in my HP IPAQ 112 (WM6 , 624Mhz cpu, 64M ram, WMP 10 mobile)
It can play 320*240 .rmvb files but gets jerky in 640*480 .rmvb files

And for your reference,
the above file <20 small.rmvb> can be played perfectly in my machine:
Video: RealVideo 3 320x240 25.00fps 901Kbps [Output 00 (Video Stream)]
Audio: RealAudio COOK 44100Hz stereo [Output 01 (Audio Stream)]

Nice But still not compare to TCPMP because it has Avi Divx Support

I agree that TCPMP player is so much better, but it is nice to have these codecs.

What kind of WM6 theme is that?
It's darker then the official Windows Mobile blue theme, installed on my HTC Touch.

Don't know what theme is that. Pictures came with the files.

It appeared to be japanese? Maybe its not compatible? Im in agreeance with the others though! TCPMP is much better, It's got PLENTY of CODEC's! TCPMP FTW!

I installed this on a Touch HD, with coreplayer 1.3. It installed but WMP couldn't open anything new so i tried with Core and now CorePlayer wouldn't even open, so I uninstalled Q8. And CorePlayer Still would no longer open. soft reset..still dead Coreplayer. so i uninstalled Core.. reset and reinstalled Core... And it still no longer works. DEAD. worked great before i'll see what their support says but thought I'd give all a heads up.

Update: Haven't heard from Core Support yet so thought I'd install TCPMP in the mean time... It crashes now. installs wont run... so some thing is hosed up I searched found referenced: (http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-357053.html) checked and none of the files listed to manually delete exist.

can Anyone help?

hello guys
i've dwnloaded the wmp q8 all codecs and smthin wierd just happened like my htc jade aka 3g doesnt play storage card ringtones when sm1 calls or even to review them from the sounds sittings !
its really confusing i removed the codec then the ringtones responded normaly, does any one can help me on this ?

I have been searching for hours to find a player that will launch from outlook and play an .au file.

While other players would play .au files I could not get then to work from Outlook.

Don`t use the "WMP Q8 All Codec.cab"!!!

Since i have installed the cab, my handy plays nothing more and i think i have to restore it completly. It makes me angry.

I read about that this codecs only work in devices with Intel Xcale processor, like HTC Athena (x7500), , Dell Axim x50/x51 series, HP iPAQ’s...
