Has anyone any ideas about the 'Launch APP fail' error?

I have a Canadian HTC Sensation z710a.

My digitizer was:
PYD V1.0
E219454<>1
ru ICACichia
94V-0 1119

I replaced digitizer with one from eBay seller eshoptradehk (you MUST ask him for a specific model BEFORE you order and AFTER):
PYD V1.1
SW-10 94V-0
E3082521137

Works perfectly with no calibration needed. I am running a custom 4.1.2 ROM if it matters.

Howdy Folks!

I had the same error. So I decided to try the SuperCID trick since my phone wasn't, and it passed the security warning after being SuperCID, so just go ahead and do the step 4 of this thread and you should be good to go.

Thanks for the file! It didn't worked for me, my digitizer seems to have a dead zone, time to buy a digitizer.

Problem

Hi there,

I've bought a digitizer and its version is "PYD V1.2" but my old phones digitizer was of version "PYD V1.0"

If I try to flash this Screen calibration tool to it I get this error: "I2C READ FAIL".


If anyone knows how to solve this, please reply to this thread or send me a private message.

Worked after install, now it doesn't..

I installed a new digitizer as well.
Seemed to work after installation, but after a few minutes fails to detect touch..
Most of the time after reboot: no touch.
Sometimes, suddenly it works again for a while for no reason..

Is it hardware or software related?
Tried the calibration firmware; flashing gives the error: IZC read fail!
Trying the calibrate option: Read ZIP AndridInfo ERROR!

I flashed back to 1.50 ROM (couldn't find the september release, this seems to be August 11, 2011(, but still the same issue (No touch, and the tp fw upgrade errors)

Anyone could help me out in the thread or via PM?

Is there anything i'm missing running the TP update?

I used Revolution to be sure my Sensation is unlocked, etc.

Before i open the housing again to check the cables, i rather rule out the software..

Running a JB ROM on my Sensation. Shattered digitizer...new one order. New one installed. Screen calibration is horrible!! Flashed this, it ran without errors. But now phone wont boot. Just stays on boot animation. Is it because im using JB? Would appreciate the help

Tried to replace my digitizer.
It's in place but the weird thing is, it doesn't work in Android but it does work in 4ext touch recovery....
Tried to calibrate, but I get this message: Pg58DIAG.nbh not here or wrong image.
Anybody any ideas?

Update:

Managed to flash via fastboot, but after the countdown I get the error: "Launch App fail"....
Getting sick of this, anybody, please help

Had the same broken 1119 digitizer and got fuer 20 Euro the 1137. The 1137 works, but the 4 Android-Keys below not really correct. Then i send it back and ordered instead the 1119 from a German Reseller. The printed Information onto the Controller-Chip fits not 100% but the important Number "1119" was there and Guess what--->Works like a charme. I also contact an official HTC-Service Center (Bochum) and they told me, that they change in Case of broken Glases not only the solo Glas. They change everytime the complete HTC-Module ( Glas & LCD ) and don´t make any Callibration-Action. Maybe this is the Secret to change the ---ready to build in- Assembled LCD/Digitizer Combo and bring not only a "new" Glas together with an "old" LCD...?!?!

This means maybe: The Digitizer has an Internal-Number and the LCD-Module, too. Both works and fit together and the Sensation Hardware check maybe each other and when you change one Part ( Glas or LCD ) you have to find und replace exactly the same Modell-Number ?!?! Hit in the blue sky----->Maybe "this" is the Mastersecret...

Hello,
I've replaced my htc sensation xe's digitizer with a new one, but my screen is pretty bad now. lots of lag and keyboard doesn't want to do what I want it to do.
I've unlocked bootloader, S-off and super CID my phone. So I could use this thread's file to recalibrate.
Everything went well and is ok, but when I try to run the PG58DIAG.nbh it starts running. It asks to press volume down to start calibration and that I have 3 seconds to put the phone one a flat object. But then it always says "app failed to load!" instead of starting to recalibrate.
Anybody an idea what still can be wrong?
when I reload it says open file fail.
Read Zip androidinfo error!

I'm going crazy with my current f*cked up screen, so thanks to everybody who tries to help!

ANOTHER UPDATE: Flash PG58DIAG.nbh it will calibrate your digitizer and itll work again! EVEN if s/n isnt the same as the old one!

I have a htc sensation that has been dropped to the ground. After the impact with the floor, the touch screen behaves extremely bad, it is very difficult to select icons or to scroll and typing is almost impossible. There is also an area in the middle of the screen where the screen does not respond at all.

Could flashing PG58DIAG.nbh possibly recalibrate the digitizer so that it works again?

I can confirm that the recalibration DOES NOT work after s-off, supercid operation for me.

It starts calibrating, but the digitizer act as the same mess as before. Nothing else in this thread worked. The only option would be to replace it with the exact same model, but none of the ebay dealers had it...

No you'll need to find a file that's p89diag. I haven't seen one of those floating at all to tell you the truth.

Thank you to everyone that racked their brains on this. I was using my wife's old Mytouch 4G for the last three weeks. This is extremely easy, which is great after gone through the process of replacing the digitizer. I can sleep better now.

so i made all as was in this post now i have android 2.3.3 Hboot revolutionary and S-OFF
i used goldcard with file PG32DIAG.nbh to enter to DIAG mode.
all passed OK but problem with touch screan exist, as i remember for wildfire S it was enough to make such DIAG.

please help me, maybe i have to reflash to some new android etc to make this touch working

Dunno if this thread is dead or not, but is there a way to know what digitizer you need without opening the phone?

Also, for those that have replaced the digitizer, is the glass of decent quality?

Edit: OK nothing much happens here, going to get a digitizer from eBay and hope it works. I'll make an additional post concerning my part numbers and glass quality for those that want to know.
