that is the exact same issue I am having.... :/I too bought a digitizer without paying attention to which one i needed. it seemed like there was only one version.
I am running the latest ics firmware with the latest insertcoin rom.
any ideas how to get rid of the screen problems?
my problems are: not registering all the touches, long press almost never works, lag etc.
do i need to reflash the firmware/rom to force an update? are there specific firmwares that support other screen types?
According to all searches I have the EVO 3D screen on my phone... This is frustrating and I sure don't want to pay a repair shop $100+ to put a faulty screen on my phone and have to wait for multiple replacements to get the proper screen...Busted my screen... Anyone find a seller for

theres no stock for the tmobile senny it could be any numberDoes anyone have the numbers off a stock digitizer from a tmobile sensation from the united states? I too am having the lag after replacing my digitizer and do not have the old one anymore. I'm running insert coin ICS 4.0.3 from april 5th with no change from the stock rom.
I was considering that...hey guys, my buddy busted his digitizer as well i told him about the versions and sellers also wouldnt give him an answer so he went ahead and bought the digitizer and the screen all in one combo, i helped him with the dis assembly and all (its a little bit harder) but its worth the trouble his screen is responding well and not a single dot of dust between screen and digitizer
he says he bought the combo on ebay for $75, id say its worth all the trouble spending an extra $30 but making sure itll work correctly
sounds very strange but i think ive read about the same issue somewhere around the forum, wouldnt know if its a hardware or software issue cause maybeprobable that your digitizer didnt have the same s/n cause you had the lockscreen problem, but since it was fixed changing software lolHi everyone,
I searched in the whole thread but I haven't found anyone that seemed to have the same issue that I am currently having.
Here's the story. Broke my digitizer (you dont say!), wanted to DIY repair it. Bought a digitizer without really looking for the version, and threw my old one in the garbage. I was having the unfortunately famous "lockscreen issue", which is that my digitizer was acting weird when waking phone.
I did what is said in the first post. Install the RUU 1.50.401.1. Actually the "lockscreen issue" dissapeared, but another one appeared, and it's kind of strange:
When I pull the notification menu down, it's acting kind of "steppy", I mean it goes down following my finger but... stalls at about every half of an inch. Also I tried *#*#DIAG#*#* to test the touchscreen, and when I put my finger on the right side of the screen, at about 1 third of the screen (from the top), it detects 2 touch inputs, each ones on each side of my actual finger position.
Another interesting thing, when my I asked my little sister, who has significantly smaller fingers than I do, to run the test instead of me, everything seemed to work fine!
So my question is, is my problem hardware (digitizer) related or software related? Or even... are my fingers too big? Should I put them in a pencil sharpener? Ahaha, I'm tired...
Sorry for the long text, and thanks ALOT to those who will be kind enough to help me

looked pretty much the same to me, couldnt compare since we didnt have any other sensation around since i sold mine for a galaxy nexusWhat about the quality of the LCD?
I was thinking: Since the problem with these faulty digitizers is the comm between the didigitzer circuits and the mainboard, buying the digitizer and the LCD together won't help anything.
Does that make any sense?
I haver similar problems. the lockscreen works fine, but the screen seems to have deadspots, and is not as responsive as it used to be. a longpress is hard to do for example. which makes rearranging your homepage very difficult. Also my q on the qwerty popup keyboard can not be used. i have to turn it to landscape.Hi everyone,

I am having issues exactly like this and have tried every possible method and every possible fix with no luck.I haver similar problems. the lockscreen works fine, but the screen seems to have deadspots, and is not as responsive as it used to be. a longpress is hard to do for example. which makes rearranging your homepage very difficult. I do not know what causes it. possible options i have found sofar are:
wrong distance between screen and digitizer, firmware problem, not correctly grounded, wrong type of digitizer.
Have you successfully fixed the problem?I haver similar problems. the lockscreen works fine, but the screen seems to have deadspots, and is not as responsive as it used to be. a longpress is hard to do for example. which makes rearranging your homepage very difficult. Did you bougt another one or not? Did it worked?I am having issues exactly like this and have tried every possible method and every possible fix with no luck.
I have even resorted to taking the screen out and resit the cable and short of buying another digitizer to try, I don't know what else to try...
And the keyboard issue doesn't just affect the Q....it affects all the 50mm of the left hand side of the screen.
I haven't as yet bought another digitizer. Doubt very much it will fix the issue, however I may have no other choice but to try...it's only gonna be another £25 down the drain if it doesn't work....Have you successfully fixed the problem?
