Someone can try my boot.img
Has spark kernel/offical twrp recovery/ verity/encrypt patches.

Flash boot.img with fastboot flash boot.
My boot.img. (Testfile)
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1INGLNI961SzTMqn7l6sMrF5WY3bL4otn/view?usp=drivesdk

Flash boot
Wipe cache
Flash magisk
Reboot system (report boot, check encrypt status)

If this doesn't work... I will just edit the ramdisk myself ..
Crazy nobody had done the edits manually and shared the boot.img yet.
Easier to just flash magisk then the no_verity_op6.zip from other thread, takes 2 seconds

Did my method /boot.img work for you?

Or are you referring to the newest Magisk having this mod built in ? Because I didn't see it anywhere... And my restores were gibberish...
I've not tried it. I haven't had any problems though with op6 no verity.zip after flashing any version of magisk
This thread is outdated and should probably be deleted. Use this guide instead if you want to keep data decrypted

this isnt working for me.

I flashed in the order stated, after wiping data first in twrp.

It started booting but then went cut the boot and started again (switched to slot b due to error?)

when the phone eventually booted it shows as encrypted

Stock oos 9.0.9

any ideas?

I need this decrypted as twrp has a nasty bug that breaks backups with FBE enabled.

Open Beta 8 decryption works.

The zip has been updated.

Instructions:
Slot A: Wipe everything, format internal, flash OB8, twrp, anything else, custom kernel, this zip, then Magisk (In this order, Magisk 18.0 works)

Switch to Slot B and do the same, reboot.
Done :D

404 error, file is removed *sigh*

The file is hosted here

https://androidfilehost.com/?w=file...65c0dc4e8188628fbae3092fa1a4eda76189ac5ec3fce

and it does indeed work

the url as suggested by dev for latest version is here https://zackptg5.com/android.php#disverfe but I havent verified if this version works on my phone and OOS 9.0.6.

Best link to use is: https://zackptg5.com/android.php#disverfe since the url for the actual file download will change every time it's updated

I have a strange thing...
My storage can only be written with root right now..

1.Format data and reboot twrp
2.Flash rom.
3.Flash twrp
4.reboot twrp
5.flash Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_02.24.2020.zip
6.flash magisk v20.3
7.reboot system

When I create a file in / sdcard as a normal user, it reports an error: permission denied.

When I execute the command mount, I get the mount details.

After it enters the system, I can only write data with root permission.
please....

    WORKING DECRYPT

    Instructions:
First be on OOS any version, clean install, no custom kernels/mods. (I recommend flashing the fastboot-flashable version, with the flash-all-partitions.bat option but it's just me. Thanks @mauronofrio) otherwise TWRP is fine.
    - Unzip, put the files to somewhere on your phone (/sdcard for ex.) - skip this step if you plan to do it manually.
    - Flash desired TWRP, Reboot Recovery
    - Format /data
    - Flash Magisk (It works with 16.7), Reboot Recovery
    - After reboot recovery, mount everything
    - Advanced>File Manager, go to /vendor/etc, delete both fstab.qcom, and fstab_nodata.qcom (or copy and edit the files your self, remove "avb". anything with "forceencrypt" change to "encrytpable")
    - Now copy/move the changed files back
    - Reboot and enjoy
fstab files to move in twrp (put them in /sdcard and move them to vendor/etc)

    Alternative way

Today I enhanced my version to support the Android Oreo and Pie Rom base on the OP6. This replaces the manual work to replace the fstab files with the patched files. I tested it with latest OOS 5.1.11 as well as with Android P Hydrogen Beta and worked all fine. Feel free to put that to your OP.

    Flash oos
    Flash twrp
    Reboot recovery
    Format data
    Flash Magisk 16.7
    Flash xXx No verity
    Reboot System

    Keep Decrypt between OS updates
    -Flash FULL ZIP in TWRP
-Without booting the OS: Flash TWRP Recovery, reboot recovery, flash Magisk, reboot recovery, and then did the /vendor/etc stuff, then reboot system.
OOS boots & keeps the decryption state, with no issues - SUCCESS

credits @_MartyMan_ for testing my theory and proving it works, also for making the proces easier by uploading edited fstab files.

I found a new and easier decrypt method (working on everything so far, Liqud Remix, OOS 5.1.11 and OOS P Beta)

    BACKUP ALL YOUR DATA
    Reboot TWRP (i recommend blu_spark)
Wipe --> Everything (including internal storage)
    Wipe --> Format data
    Reboot recovery
Flash ROM, flash recovery, reboot recovery
Flash custom kernel if you need
Flash this, then Magisk (for me 17.1 is working fine) - Thank you @Zackptg5
    Reboot, enjoy :D

    @virtyx
thanks for starting this thread and provide information how to decrypt the OP6. I created already a flashable zip for the OP5/5T which is patching the fstab without the need to manual mount vendor first.

Looks like the peoples on xda only care about the speed and nobody care about security.
They are ready to get all their personal data stolen, private pictures and videos, all the passwords, all the money on the bank account stolen, just to have 1% increase in speed! [emoji23]
Why do you care if people wish to disable encryption? Has literally no effect on you. If people want to stay encrypted cool, if they don't cool too. I don't understand all the judgement for a simple thread.

Why do you need to disable encryption

multi-boot, i also dont believe i need encryption forced on my phone - it should be an option.
also it may have performance increase (MAY),
