LMC better in every photo, not even close.
Considering they use the same software either google is not tuning their own software properly or the samsung hardware is much better.
As the person who took the pictures I politely disagree. I find the Pixel 7 pictures better in all scenarios. More true to life colours and more detail in all of them. I have compared them side by side on a 27" calibrated monitor and the Samsung pictures are much warrmer and generally more saturated than reality.

For me they are more or less equal, LMC is a little too dark and very little more saturated. If Pixel is more Reality you know where to go.
Good job by Google, for half the price 😉

Well, it is a matter of personal preferences. For me, all pictures for Pixel look waaaay overprocessed. As someone said, all of LMC's pictures are much better, and for me, it is not even a fair battle. Ones from pixel appear to have more details, but it is not true and it is just a matter of overprocessing them. Same as pictures from stock Samsung apps (applies for both Main app and expertRAW). The only usable output from the Samsung apps is ExpertRAW 50 Mpix DNG.
But good thing is, that we have a choice. If someone is after verrry processed photos - go for one of the Samsung apps. If you prefer middle terrain - AGC, most natural look - LMC. The only thing that I miss in the GCAM apps now is the stacked 50 Mpix DNG.
Again, this is only my personal point of view. :)

This is a bit apples to oranges comparison. The Pixel screens are nowhere near close, the in screen fingerprint readers are rather sad even without screen protectors, and there is nothing that comes close to the 10x camera on the 7 pro (may change with the 8 pro). But I agree, the Pixels are a good value.

It was only about the Camera, never tried a pixel.

I didn't say anything about closing colors to reality, but when I looked at these photos from laptop I saw that pixel is the same oversharped and overprocessed as Samsung stock, LMC produces softer and detailed images :)

Here is couple of comparison photos of one image that i find interesting. Tree is more detailed in Pixel than LMC. LMC also has little greenish in blacks.

I think focus is not in same place these photos and that maybe is reason that tree detail issues in LMC.

Yup, I think the focus was in a different spot. And on top of that Samsung has a faster lens (1.7 vs 1.9) and that means a bit shallower dof. That's the first one. As for the second example, I see the same level of detail, just more sharpening applied in pixel. And I do prefer LMC.

ok i most likely won't have time to test the main cam for 1.2 today but i think i have the zoom right ..this is taken with a rapidly setting sun so it's at the limit of what is recommended for using the zoom, and the photo looks exactly true to life now (10x).

I agree with you, but on the second sample, LMC has more details on the bright part and much more on the shadows.

Looks like everybody like different things in photos. I like that black is black and not greenish. Also i don't need details in shadows because i like darker shadows.

Still it's good that we have LMC gcam and other gcam too so there is little bit everything for everybody.

The reason why this area in LMC is greenish is exactly being true to life. It is mass of the leaves in the shadow, and leaves are green. So even bouncing linght in there have green cast. Pixel has just crushed it a bit, bumped a contrast and you have it black. LMC had a bit softer processing and that is why left it green. But yes, as you said, everybody like different things in photos.

I think leafs has notting to do with that green tint because it's visible in other pictures too. Leafs maybe boots that green tint more in that photo.

Some pictures it is stronger and some photos you not able to see it too much unless you zoom picture. Mostly that greenish is corners of pictures. Darker or night photos you can see it better.

but overall photos are good and config too.

Maybe it's Noise reduction smearing green pixels ?

Java's (not yet released) xml for LMC 1x digitally zoomed to about 35mm to go against my Canon R6 35mm out of camera JPG. Funny or sad (I haven't decided), LMC is more color accurate! Of course in real life, I'd have used the raw from my r6... But still!

here is the new version of my tweak file based on Javasabr v42 base.
It is completely changed from 1.1, all cameras have been updated, pro mode now works well in both good and low light.

**While this is fork on Java 42, it will not work with Java's files.**

This is for s23u (ultra only).

The LMC app can be found here. Use either the scan3d, ruler, or aweme version.
Immediately the app opens after granting permissions tap the video button then double tap the space between the selfie button and the shutter and select my config.
You need to be very fast before the app closes, it may take a few tries.

There are 2 choices for installing.
Either create a folder on the root drive named LMC8.4 and put my config file inside or just use the included folder and then select my config.
Do not place my config inside Java's folder ...your phone will explode ....ok well it won't explode but you will not get the intended results and will likely look completely messed up.
I also recommend clearing the cash and data to avoid any issues or conflicts from previous versions. If anything looks funny then this would be the first troubleshooting step.
If you have multiple LMC configurations you can rename the others so you can switch back and forth as long as ...and it bears repeating ...only use my confing file in a clean folder.

Just rename java's folder to something like 'LMC8.4 java' and the place my folder on the drive, then (optionally) clear cache and data, and then just open the app and select my config.
If you want to switch back rename my folder to 'LMC8.4 tmz' and rename the other back to LMC8.4.

you can go back and forth between the two, it's a couple of extra steps because they both need a folder called LMC8.4, so just rename one of them and then you can easily switch to the other config.

    My suggestions are also:
    Never use night mode.
    Never use AWB.
Zoom and ultra-wide will not work well in low light so i don't recommend using them unless inn good light, but if you must then turn on pro mode.

You will notice I removed most of the on-screen buttons becasue they are mostly uselsss or I have them configured to my preference, but feel free to change whatever you like although I don't recommend it.

Some things may not work as intended, you can let me know.

    Big thanks to JavaSabr.

Expo toggle allow us to cover most of cases, but of course, custom GCam cannot be a silver bullet for all people and all cases :)
I totally agree with you. It is almost impossible to get perfect setup that works for all scenarios. Here you can see some images with expo on and off. It brightens up to image but overexposes some bright areas between clouds. However, overexposed areas looked a bit weird with some hue in these scenarios. I will try more in a sunny day. I wonder which one handles sunset better.

Can we increase/decrease the number of frames with HDR+ Enhanced?
Can't find it anywhere.... IF it's possible
    Sure can.

Settings > Lens settings > Any-lens > Scroll down, then change value of 'Normal frames count'.

Some sample from my recent trip.

Probably is not the best photo quality on the market, but using the Gcam overall I'm very satisfied of the incredibile versatility.
Plus the device is all around the best you can find.

I did many test gcam 12mpx vs stock 50mpx and 200mpx, and i can say that most of the time high res stock is useless. Details are similar or even better with gcam at 12mpx.

    🌟 NiCkAM8PRO V1.3 (AGC V9.5 GCam) Custom Pack (APK + Profiles): https://gofile.io/d/lqMOl7 💥

    Changelog & Suggestions:

This release brings fixes and improvements, with higher quality shots from all back lenses, very high details and low noise (much better than stock app), good contrasts while revealing more details in shadows, natural-looking colors with controlled saturation / vibrancy / exposure. Sharpening has been a bit increased to provide slightly crisper shots as well.

As always, I'd encourage users to enable Auto-White Balance (AWB) whenever they shoot in low-light / night time situations and under artificial lighting conditions, for better colour reproduction and more vibrant / less desaturated results.

For close-up shots (but not only), you might getter better results if you manually focus on the brightest zone of your subject, as it will usually ensure better overall contrasts, gamma levels and less clipped highlights.

For higher-quality / less noisy results in low-light shots, you can adjust the shutter speed slider, on the left side of the viewfinder, to 1/15 or even 1/8s of a second (just remember to remain still for a second or two).

You can also try the "Leica Filter" mode if you fancy some different color temperature / white balance and vignetting in your shots.

    Cheers!
