To all, make sure to pay attention to color accuracy on V52, lots of time and tests have been done. Hopefully it'll be good in most/all situations
For the most accuracy, do you recommend AWB enable or disabled? I'm talking about natural light shoots

I'd say just use hdr++ and force a slower shutter speed like 0.5s or 1s (quick shortcut for it: long press the picture circle at bottom right) . Just don't forget to put shutter back to automatic after your night shots :)

I think your last shot in HDR++ and 0.5 expo is really pleasant but maybe too much light comes to the sensor ?

Yes, you have to adjust shutter speed based on surrounding light. My test was in a very dark room. @JavaSabr might have some suggestions. I don't shoot much in low light

Java's (not yet released) xml for LMC 1x digitally zoomed to about 35mm to go against my Canon R6 35mm out of camera JPG. Funny or sad (I haven't decided), LMC is more color accurate! Of course in real life, I'd have used the raw from my r6... But still!

I am seeing meaningful issues with Java v50 in the shadows. They are bunched up and lacking detail. Is it just me? First image is Java v50, second my own AGC config which is 100% stock settings except for slight reduction in edge sharpen and white levels. The place where the shadows issue is most visible is the head of the figurine which has very little structure in the LMC image. Thoughts?

First image is Java v50, second my own AGC config which is 100% stock settings except for slight reduction in edge sharpen and white levels. The place where the shadows issue is most visible is the head of the figurine which has very little structure in the LMC image. Thoughts?

I'm not 100% sure what you're referring to? Comparing but I feel Java's version has better details but a tad less contrast I think? With all the changes done between v50 and V52 though, I'd try the test again with V52. Have you also tried comparing the non sharp vs sharp version?

Look at the ear - the color and texture is almost completely missing. Same for the hair. It is not contract that is missing but color detail.

BTW, what software was the comparison image created with.

Missing clarity maybe? What about this compare with added clarity on lmc?

Because from a details perspective I still find the hair with lmc to be better

not sure what you mean, the images are practically identical in detail and color, AGC is just brighter and sharper, if you adjust the LMC it has the same amount of detail.

I don't see these artifacts in the original on my phone, or on the slightly compressed jpgs I posted even at the max zoom available in Google Photos. The above seem to be beyond the max zoom and may be some type of an interpolation issue. Frankly I don't care what artifacts exist at 400%. 😀

I usually don't zoom that far but really trying to see what you see 😂 so I guess I'm sorry but I can't really help as I can't figure out what your issue is! Lmc looks better to my eye 🤷

BTW the app is on the phone, called photo compare. Neat little tool 😊

Not a question of brightness - I took images with the LMC expo correction which nominally does 1.4 stop EV increase and the issue is still there. Probably just a matter of personal preference.

Try with V52 he did some tweaking in the light and shadow section. Maybe it'll make it look better to your eyes. And V52 is a lot more color accurate

    Some sample from my recent trip.

    Probably is not the best photo quality on the market, but using the Gcam overall I'm very satisfied of the incredibile versatility.
    Plus the device is all around the best you can find.

    I did many test gcam 12mpx vs stock 50mpx and 200mpx, and i can say that most of the time high res stock is useless. Details are similar or even better with gcam at 12mpx.
