Ah -- maybe it's the version. Giozer's screenshot has the side bubbles on the right, whereas my widget looks like Exiwolfman's screenshot (bubbles on either side of the main circle.

You sure this works on Nexus device with this ROM?
I tried the clock zip file you referenced (version 2) and it didn't show up right.

Edit:. I think I had the wrong widget resolution. I got this one to work correctly for quadHD displays:
