Probably didn't need that partial firmware then. :) You must have flashed OF1 and rooted at some point, so yes it should be good to go.

if you wanna try, backup your current ROM first in TWRP!
To be safe I Odin'd the latest firmware 0F1 because they usually have requirements that come from the latest firmware that the rom does not come with.

Flashed Dirty Unicorns and wow is this fast. I actually think i'll stay on this even if CM 13 comes out!

I did have trouble with google play services working with the stock gapps. Once i flashed the nano version it worked fine.

Any trouble getting your 4G LTE data working?

Everything else seems to be working great for me, I'm just having issues with that.

No trouble here... but 12.1 is pretty notorious for such things :) Have you tried changing to 3G preferred and back to LTE? Or changing network type in *#*#4636#*#* ?

A lot of times flashing older ROMs you will run into the Google Play Services thing... usually it can just be updated.

Yeah I tried toggling it back and forth, and a bunch of other things, I just tried the 'magic number' got a Verizon phone service recording saying
my feature update could not be completed.

I'd be testing out that CM13 build that a lot of people have had good luck with, but it goes into a crash loop on the very first chance I get to click a button... o_O

Hmmm...guess Straight Talk is its own beast. Not even sure how they could lock down the magic number. I would guess the reason you can't get into that is the same reason you can't get LTE

What build? The Verizon RIL isn't even working in CM13 yet, unless I missed something

While trying to research RIL/baseband for CM13, I have tested virtually every ROM for n900v with various combinations of KK and LP modems.

So far, these are the only two that have worked for me...and I must say that the first works VERY well... tempted to use their sources to build out CM13.

1. Dirty Unicorns v9.8 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/orig-development/rom-dirty-unicorns-v9-0-t3006601)

With the OF1 modem/non-hlos, DU 9.8 has working LTE right out of the box, and seems to be a very mature ROM.

2. LiquidSmooth 4.1 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/development/rom-liquidsmooth-v4-0-lollipop-t3008474)

Liquidsmooth is the only other ROM I have been able to have establish reliable cellular and mobile data. Also using the OF1 modems, but LTE is NOT working reliably. Setting to 3G as preferred works fine and persists through reboots.

Other than these two, every other ROM has major radio issues. All of the CM11 based stuff seems to connect LTE/3G just fine, but will not hold it...the radio constantly cycles. All of the CM13 stuff has radio connected at the base level, but needs some tweaks in order to make it available to the OS properly.

Anyone else have anything working?
Here's a test build of cm13 from one developer (he needs testers so I would flash it and ask for instructions to get logs and post them for him to look at).

The developer is: @Mond@diac

I still can't figure out why CM11 radio doesn't work with NC4 or NK1 modems... so strange since CM11 was an official build.

For those interested more in battery life and performance than running the latest and greatest, CM11 (and all the options based on it) would be a good option.

I wonder if the CM11 kernel is choking on the 4.4 stuff... I think today will be a kernel experiment day

Thats cool, I wish I was having the same luck with DU 9.8, it can't even load a page until I set it to 1G on Straight Talk.

Besides not having data though it was a very good ROM, and so far none of the ROMs have data for me
so I still think its one of the best.

Service was working on stock OF1, but when it comes to custom ROMs doesn't even work on Jasmine (though Jasmine does show bars just
can't connect).

Wow, Jasmine isnt even really a "custom ROM"...it stock-based. Something is either different with ST as an MVNO, or messed up with your process or device

Maybe I should try re-seating the sim card and other out of the box things, its getting too that point.

>_> And maybe checking to see if my uncle's service hasn't expired (I confess I have know idea if its near),
actually tired, I've been doing that all night by testing calling on different builds.

I really hope the root and the bootloader unlock didn't screw something up in the firmware.

Theres not much to be screwed up. But even if you did screw something up, you can always just ODIN back to stock.

If you have data on stock, you should have data in Jasmine at least...
