Working version of Swype

I think the zip needs to be signed or something.

It has to be as easy as swapping the images.

Any help?

Yup, it has to be signed. I have done it a number of times and used the attached to sign it. Instructions are in the readme.txt

So is there anyone out there who has done this? I would like to try out a few of the skins, but im not sure about messing with the files in the .apk cause this version actually works.

Yes, I have created 5 different versions/colors but they seem to expire for everyone but me so they are not posted.

Anyway, just make a copy of it and modify that so you can always reinstall the one that works.

I modded the the version for the EVO with the the Black/Green keyboard.

The only thing that I can't seem to change is the tracer color and word prediction text color.

The Swype logo was also not aligned properly so I deleted it.

Used SignAPK to sign the modded version.

Anyone want to help with the tracer and text color?

What has worked for me is applying metamorph themes. I like the htc ime style. Droid-life had a great post a while back explaining how to apply these themes.

I don't know about anyone else, but my version of Swype ran out and I couldn't use it anymore. Found this. It says it's for the EVO but it works fine on my DInc so far. Download the apk, put on SD card, open it with a file manager (I used ASTRO) and just hit upgrade. At first it said I couldn't install that apk, but I waited 10 seconds and it worked. I hit upgrade and it works flawlessly so far. Also, it's version 1.61

did you guys all get the latest version of Swype 3.0 beta? It works awesome for me on my Evo.
