What was his last dl09 I'm on.05 dl09 and getting near same as a froyo Rom sadly and im running this at 800 mhz and froyo at 1000 or am I doing something wrong..

Ya I went have had much success going back to dj05 super dark with voodoo 5 and I have to say that I am glad mainly because no more sleep off death. I also have missed the battery life. I miss all of the froyo looks and features though. I can't wait till that dang source is released. And there is a stable version off froyo. The devs have did a great job with the code they have had to work with. Anyways how about a shout out to the aholes at Verizon and Samsung for nota dang thing

While I agree that Supercurio's voodoo sound and color fixes were amazing, there's not much else I miss from the eclair days. Battery life on Froyo w/ Super Dark 3 is about the same a my final dj05 roms, gps locks are a few seconds slower but we're talking seconds here and Froyo has been faster, smoother, way nicer looking and I'm not going back to old apps like gmail that can't be upgraded without Froyo. Just typing this, I've used the feature that allows me to pinpoint my cursor on the screen without having to stab the text a dozen times trying to make it land between letters. Eclair is dead and source kernels for Froyo will only make these new roms better.

Go with the franken. I loved it. I always have preferred stock clock speed, but did get great performance on all the kernals I tried.

Completely uninstall swype and download the bata installer

The beta installer didn't work whatsoever in my case but yes follow these steps to get it installed. I will put this in the OP.

1. Download a swype.apk WVGA resolution from the interwebs. (Can't post it here)
2. Change your default keyboard to any keyboard other than Swype.
3. Using root explorer, go to system/app/ and delete Swype.apk
4. Go to system/lib and open the search method in the menu and type in Swype. This will search for any files containing the word Swype. There should be two of them one of which is swypelibcore.so and I forgot the other. If you don't see either of these then you are fine to continue to the next step.
5. Install the swype.apk you downloaded earlier and let it do its thing. If it says your device isn't supported you downloaded the wrong swype. It needs to be WVGA because that is the resolution of our device.
6. If you get force close after installing, restart your phone.

I tried installing the beta version via the beta installer but did not have any luck...at first. But, if you switch keyboards, delete the two files, wipe dalvik, install a compatible swype apk from the interweb (will probably say it's expired), then clear data and uninstall that version, the beta installer will work after that. Honestly don't know why, but these steps worked on two SF's that I reverted back to DJ05.
