This is a MOD enabling Windows Phone 7 - esque multitasking for AOKP made by evilisto for the Galaxy Nexus

Note: This is untested for the CDMA Galaxy Nexus

The WP7 Multitasking interface found here has been successfully ported to AOKP Milestone 4 (GSM) by evilisto!

Hey everyone,

I've recently stumbled upon a thread here showing how to get WP7-esque multitasking on the Nexus S running 4.0.3 (download link here) I'm not a developer or themer by any means, so I was wondering if any of the talented themers out there could help me out and make a flashable zip for AOKP milestone 4 with this mod.

The System UI.apk and framework-res.apk for AOKP milestone 4 (GSM) are uploaded below

i used same values to wvga(nexus s) device's mod so maybe there are some layout problems. (for example, app label position is weird..)

if someone flashed this test version, please upload screenshot. maybe there are things to fix..

I can change the text position for the gnex...but can you tell me exactly how to re compile the apk? I used apktool and decompiled it...modified it...then recompiled it...then adb pushed it to my phone. (both files)...it bootloops..what am i doing wrong?

EDIT:i always get "an error occured please check the log" or something like that when using apkmanager..it doesn't work at all with apktool

Here is a screenshot of the error...followed all the directions...this happens even when i don't change anything...just decompile and recompile.

You prolly need to fix all the errors that occur in every plurals.xml in (line 79). Look for EVERY plurals.xml in every values folder go to line 79 of eah and add a second %.

before. <item quantity="other">%d of %d</item>
after. <item quantity="other">%d of %%d</item>


edit: just saw your log, doesn't appear to be what I'm mentioning.

Awesome! This worked perfectly
There's literally nothing to fix
And looks amazing ;D
Hopefully this encourages more themes for the Multitasking interface

to fix the landscpe issue...just follow his guide in the op...he fogot to change the layout-land while editing.

This is nice. Too bad it breaks themes tho. Would love to have this + theme at the same time. Would it be up to the themers to implement this in their themes or is it simple enough to do myself?

Would it be possible to have a dark transparent background instead of that blue? To be honest, I'm not a fan of the Metro UI blue from WP7 lol.

I just can not get this recompiled for the life of me. I zipped the decompiled apk so if anyone can recompile and post here that would be cool =)

EDIT: Forgot to post the link -_- lol here it is http://www.box.com/s/0b2c2e053c5d8d1f2ba1 its a zipped file of the decompiled apk. all somebody needs to do is recompile it and it should be good to push to /system/app.
