So what?
I have hd2 phone too. And am I happy? Not quite
There are days I am pleased with the android port and there are some I am not...
- WM6: worst system ever. Sense make it little more usable.
- Android: very nice but is it really working as it should? probably not.
- WM7: never had it! Why not? Because i have HD2...
Let be honest: I appreciate the hard work of the developers and they did the great thing. Furthermore I am very thankful I was able to try out the Android system. But it was never 100% finished on hd2 and I don't know if it will be ever (who can tell that)?. And Desire HD is still beta.
For those geeks that are happy with the fact that hd2 can be booted with 2,3,4 etc. OS: WOW!!!. So you don't have anything other to do except to boot from one system to other (and by that ported ones)? How about one system but good one?
What is good from all that porting sh...?
- you dont have money and you are happy you can put a decent os on your hd because you can afford anther phone with the originally designed system
- you can try android or mayber wm7 and decide what the next phone will be (HD7, Desire HD etc)
- As mentioned before you are a geek and run around and show your friends how amazing your hd2 is. And most of them dont care because they have either iPhone or think why you have bought a 700$ phone to use another OS on it?
At the end what to conclude? It would be nice if we could have any version of WM7 on our hd2 to get the feeling how the system works. After that most of the people will decide to go for android, wm7 or maybe iOS (like: i am tired of this sh....)
Sooner or later we will maybe have 100% functional android or wm7 on our hd2. By then most of the people will already have a new phone and maybe keep the hd2 as a nice memory on the time we were young
For me: I am thinking how much money i can get for the old hd2 and how much money i need to put on top of that to get the next smartphone. how sad the technology can be...
