Did you download the full rom or the small ota? If it's the small ota you need to rename it to exact name of the full ota, or just download the full... I went for the full rom. Did you restart the phone after?
I downloaded the full rom and restart it many times but the phone doesnt detect the update. :/

Hmm, can you double check your fingerprint is changed with device info HW, it will say under system

Had a thought, have you downloaded it more than one time, the name of the file may have been changed... can you take a screenshot and post it here showing the file and where you placed it?

Does this keep TWRP installed?
I don't have TWRP installed, so can't say for sure, but i highly doubt it, you'd have to follow the thread here for keeping TWRP

Have you checked with the app I linked you to see if fingerprint is changed?

Yes. This is the code given by the app.

Well this is strange, assuming you're definitely placing the zip file (full rom - 2.2GB) in the root of internal storage (not in a folder at all), can you check the end of the zip name to make sure it hasn't been downloaded twice and has renamed the zip to something like UL-ASUS_I001_1-ASUS-16.0631.1910.64-1.1.253-user_2.zip

The file name should be exactly UL-ASUS_I001_1-ASUS-16.0631.1910.64-1.1.253-user.zip

Well I have just asked over on the Vietnam Telegram group if there's an ETA on the patched root img. Hopefully I'll get a response soon and will let you know ASAP. But yeah, once that's released you can go ahead and flash it for root using the cmd "fastboot flash boot xxxx.img"
Hopefully you can/don't mid waiting a couple of days for it to be released - until then, you'll just have to be unrooted :(

I'll keep you posted...
Hello again,
So i managed to do this solo (why wait for someone else :) )
All it took was to install Python, and then use a ready script (payload dumper) to extract all img files from the OTA payload.bin.
Then the supreme took that is magisk did the rest and I have a patched boot.img which i flashed and root is up.

Do you want the patched image? to share with others here if anyone needs it? too big to just upload here.
I'd be happy to assist in such matter, while i'm not a developer i do know my way around.

Well this is most odd. You may have to wait a few days for the RAW rom to be released and update that way using the Flashall_AFT.cmd...

There have been some random issues with various devices not behaving the same as other, supposedly, identical Asus devices - perhaps this is one of those random occasions :(

Excellent news, and nice one for the mission... Yeah, by all means, share the img!! Do you have a mega account? If not, pm me for my password (there's no private stuff there, just Asus stuff and Mi9...), you can upload it there...

Thats also what i suspected. I flashed again the 1910.44 usingthe flashall_aft.cmd hoping that it would fix the problem. Does asus post also the raw files in their site?

It appears not. I always just get/download from links on Vietnam Telegram group... I check regularly, so will let you know when the RAW is available...
