Hi, I downloaded the full zip file, put it in the root of phone, reboot, prompt for update,ok 100% updated,from here not doing reboot,go to Magisk APK and click on installing on inactive sloot after OTA.
Magisk prompt for reboot, reboot and that's it all.

Thanks for the Update. I have put the zip file in the root directory. Before restarting, it detected the the update file. and updated while the phone is on. after that it rebooted. everything is intact.

I am on 44 with WW fingerprint. I only downloaded the FOTA, renamed it to the full image. Then used the default file manager to transfer it to the root directory of the phone. After reboot, system detected the update and from there it successfully updates to 64.

Note that I am not rooted. I unwittingly unrooted my phone when I went to change the fingerprint from CN to WW.

I wonder what's the extra use of the rooted version for you guys. Is it really necessary? I can't root my phone because that would mean unlocking again the bootloader which will practically erase everything.

I wished I flashed twrp for rog phone 2 when I changed from CN to WW. :/

I can confirm that using the full WW fw works by placing the file in the root directory. I am fully updated to the latest version. Thanks!

If you are on ww .44 then then the FOTA will be smaller in size for you, you can update from from .44 to 65 using small FOTA. But if you are on an older rom like 1910.35 or previous then you need to flash the full rom ota to get the full update.. hope this clears thing up

How to change model number of my ROG phone 2?

I have the Tencent version converted to WW with fingerprint but the model number shows as ASUS_I001DE. I want to change this to ASUS_I001DC so I can unlock max graphics in BDM. Anyone knows quickest way to do this and can explain here?

What's BDM?

To change the model number, You need root access.
It's in build.prop - Entry is ro.product.model=ASUS_I001D
Change it to whatever you want.

Yep I already worked that out but in the build.prop it only refers to the model as ASUS_I001D but the model number will show as ASUS_I001DE to other apps. I want to amend this to show ASUS_I001DC instead.
ASUS_I001DC is the WW 12GB model and the ASUS_I001DE is the WW 8GB model as far as I can work out. Anyone know where the C and E suffix is stored?
