I just did it successfully. Google "payload_dumper-win64", download that WW firmware zip file, use payload dumper to extract the payload.bin, then flash every .img file with fastboot. I now have the DTS logo at boot and everything.

After flashing everything it brought me through somewhat of an out-of-box experience again, where I was able to sign in to google, and select either the ROG theme or "classic" (aosp) theme. I went with the classic one.

A detailed guide for newbies would be great

How use to flash without unlock bl?
Only official firmware can be flashed without unlocking the bootloader.
WW->CN or CN->WW is also not permitted.

ASUS method of flashing OTA is placing the ZIP file in Root folder and rebooting the phone where the device will pick up the firmware for flashing.

Other than that, There should be a ASUS Command flasher somewhere (Like Odin for Samsung) which allows to flash official payload directly.

EDIT - Refer to this thread for updated information

Can you share a link?
(If you're not comfortable sharing it publicly) - Please PM Me.

Please look around also before you pay anything to them. It might just be a scam like FunkyHuawei where you can achieve the results on your own by just looking around a bit.

Just my two cents;
Don't help scammers ruin XDA.
We were a great community with a lot of knowledge sharing since the great HTC HD2 Days.
