I think this was already explained in quite a few places here on the forum. If you're on ww rom with ww fingerprint, you can just download 1910.35 zip, put it on the internal storage, reboot your phone and the update notification should appear.

I thanked the previous post because he's right, these things have been repeated a lot of times. But just so you know the basic about ur phone, download and install device info hw from playstore to check your rom, product id and fingerprint all match. Then you can go ahead and update

Previously messed around (without success) with the method to install TWRP without breaking wifi, wondering if that's what is causing this issue.

If you mean convert from CN to WW, no, not with ota. But you can with raw rom.

I think I'm gonna just make a thread later after work about what to do when people first get their phones. Getting tired of repeating! For now, have a read about the threads, there's plenty of info on how to check fingerprint, change it etc etc...

Question. In the OP you say to preserve root,

Once completed don't restart the device, just choose 'later', then go to magisk manager and choose install. Then choose install ota.

But in another thread someone said to preserve root after doing an update you choose "install on inactive slot (OTA)"...

Did you just word it differently or are those two different options?

Just worded differently... There was brief issue I had using that method with magisk 20, but it seems fixed with magisk 20.1

I updated to ww1910.35 with manual update in the storage root. I always get the SafetyNet test failed cts profile match, I have no root with locked bootloader. Reading on google maybe it's fault of the unlocked bootloader. how do i re-lock it?

Is your fingerprint CN or WW?

Install "Device Info HW" by Andrey Efremov from the play store, then go to the system tab and look up what the fingerprint says there.
