Hi,

With the flashtool you should be able to flash the phone to newst 2.1 Firmware.

Download flashtool: (Update: 14.11.2010) GUI VERSION!!

Note: You have to disable Vista/7 UAC! If not you are running in problems !
You HAVE TO WIPE USERDATA! If Not you will be stuck in booting Loop!

I can confirm this works on X10 mini!! e10i

installed without a hitch (took about 1-2min)
Just testing all the features now.. but so far seems to be in ordnung :D

On all Android devices there are all languages on every firmware included.
This is unbranded Nordic rom.
And yes to upgrade to 2.1 a wipe of all data is neccessary.

I am downloading but the download is SO SO slow :-( it says it will last 3 hours to download :-( can u put in a dropox for example?
so it means this unbranded nordic is the same as buying a new phone only with SE applications, right? than i install MMS and acess points from my operator and its ok...thats it?

Cannot put on dropbox, but i have uploaded to multiupload. You have a few options where to download.
I can download this file in 30 seconds from rapidshare for example.

So there is no branding, this is like you have bought the phone directly in sweden.
SE added 1 Swedish newsapp to the phone, nothing more. (Localization).

If anyone wants to make more mirrors its okay for me!

you have to overwrite the loader.sin with the one of the firmware package!

Hi :)

Ayone knows if there's a 1.6 flash tool, I think I might want to revert to 1.6 due to some issues Im havin, in particular som video performance issues....

Hi

I did that again, as soon as the green light comes up(confirming flash mode) i get the java msg and PC Companion start, the green light turns orange and the phone starts to charge

i had this issue too.

keep "back" held on the phone while you click flash
it should work then

Try to prevent PC-Comp from starting and get a little timing with flashing =)

You can use the same tool for 1.6 and 2.1 on the X10 minis. It's different to the big X10!

    I went to bed. Kinda gave up. But i couldn't fall asleep. So got out of bed and tried a few times more. After 10 tries it worked!!! I had to hit exacly the correct moment to enter flashmode. :) :) :)

    I now got android 2.1 after 3 days of struggling. WHAT A RELEIF! hahaha

    Thank you everyone for help specially you Bin4ry. :) I cant explain how happy i am. :)

    Now i can finally rest in peace....i mean just rest.....just rest... hehe :)

    @Aryanjain---considering your urgency and the desire to retain your warranty etc,I'd suggest you get this done by SE spending that Rs.150 but please ask them that you would get the latest firmware which is 2.1.1.A.0.6.This is the second update that most of us in India have got so far.
    As for your fears ,Bin4ry is damn good at what he releases but now is not the time to dabble around especially since you have a Vista.
    Get your update,enjoy your Eclair for a while meanwhile reading this forum in some detail before beginning to experiment with your phone.Perhaps you can also get XP going in your PC in the meantime.
    One other thing---this is a solid phone and unless you use a hammer on it or dip it in boiling water,nothing will go wrong with it and you can always restore it to working condition!
