I still can't get the time fix to work. I did everything suggested in this thread... But after I copied the file into the registry my panel does not appear on the panel manager anymore :(
Can the problem be that I extracted the dll file from the zipfile? Because the download link didn't work for me..

I played with this fix for awhile but I have finally had success. Here is how.
1. Tilewave Panel installed via TilewavePanel Beta cab listed at Ethermind's X2 software directory on XDA.
2. Rename Tilwave.dll using Total Commander.
3. Download zip file in post 1, extract .dll file and put on device through Active Sync.
Use Total Commander to move the .dll file to\Program Files\Panels\TilewavePanel
4. Delete renamed Tilewave.dll from device. Tried panel, froze on device.
5. Used remove programs to remove TilewavePanel.
6. Re-installed cab listed above.
7. Located city of choice and the panel was posting the time one hour behind!
8. Used Total Commander to edit registry fro Timezone, not daylight savings as this was already at zero.
9. Panel now operates as it should and time is correct even after weather update.

I'm sure this be a device specific solution because it is so backasswards but it is now working:)

I had some problems initially but managed to overcome them all by doing the following:

1. Make sure the Tilewave panel isn't active. (Easiest way is to select the default Windows panel option from panel manager.)
2. Don't use File Explorer to copy the file - it didn't work for me and I had to use Total Commander to get the file to overwrite the original. (its available here if you don't have it: http://www.ghisler.com/pocketpc.htm)
3. Reboot the X1 before trying to use the panel. I don't know why you need to do this but it was necessary in my case!

You may still have to manually change the DaylightSaving registry option if you don't want it to be +1 hour after all the other changes though - the DLL only stops it updating from then on!

Thank you very much for your help! I will try this and let you know how it went

I just tried this patch and was unsuccessful.

First try
-------
Tilewave was original installed skipping installation
Go to windows panel
soft reset
apply tilewave.dll to /program files/panels/tilewave via TC
soft reset
apply regkey edit
open panel manager
click on tilewave - hangs

but an official WM 6.1 it can not fix this problem.
also i have bad news for X1 users
i contact SonyEricsson and asked if they will do official update to WM 6.5 for X1
but they answer that if i want WM 6.5 must buy X2
in X1 we don't going to make WM 6.5 :(

Working Tilewave time fix: no patch required

Alright, after playing with the Tilewave panel forever, I think I've found the Caveman's solution for the problem. (Note: that patched dll on the front page is no longer accessible.)

Although I have the Sept 09 Microsoft timezone patch applied, I don't think it's necessary. I have the "automatic change time zone" set in the normal Phone settings; also, I don't think that's necessary.

What to do:
1) Initially, set your home city as BOTH the Home city, and the first city in the list.
2) Set two other cities you'd like to have as cities #2 & #3.
3) Go into your Registry editor. (PHM, etc)
4) Go to the HKEY Local Machine\Software\Sony Ericsson\Tilewave.
5) DELETE the TimeZone, Synch, Zip, & City Name values from City #0.
6) Set Daylight Savings to "0" for city #0 (also for all other cities).

Result:
On the front screen of Tilewave, you will NOT see your city at top. HOWEVER, you will get your weather showing (because it's the first-available in the city list). You can then press the Weather button to get a full-report and see the weather of the other 2 cities. When you return, your TIME WILL REMAIN THE SAME!!!:)

Seems to work for all button presses, too (even contacts would blow-out the time, before).

Got this method working, sad that the city name disappears but the time is always correct now, and I can keep the weather updates on without having to worry about the clock being reset:).

Observation and new issue

I have not tried the caveman method described by damonous yet, but have tried everything else prior in the thread. I am running a stock rom winmobile6.1 ver R3.

Observation: After playing with the Tilewave panel I noticed that only after the weather was updated did the time change, but if I switched panels and switched back to Tilewave the time would fix itselft.

Issue: My current location is Los Angeles, California. On the Metric scale it is reading -6 degrees it does not get that cold over here. The Iperial scale is not accurate either, the temps are more inline to being celsius.

Has anyone else experienced this or have an idea as to where to start looking for a temperature fix?

Ok! ive got the time correct and the city name correct. Here's how i did it:

1. In registry editor got to HKLM/Software/ Sony Ericsson/ TileWavePanel/ City/0/
2. Change name to your desired "city" name
3. Change Time Zone to your desired timezone, ie: +5.30 for me.
4. Restart phone and select the panel.
5. Works for me!!

The hacked DLL works to fix the clock display, but unfortunately schedule gets messed up - all appointments show one hour off :(

Edit: works on some ROMs and just hangs the panel (bounces back to panel manager) on other ROMs. Bummer. :(

I will try the solution from post #31 here as an interim solution until we get better fix on this one.

Second edit: Post #31 solution has a drawback - if you tap on the tile where city name is (says "Eastern Sta..." on mine - looks like the time zone) - it switches to second city, screws the clock again and you cannot switch back to city 0 until you go through panel manager to exit the panel and enter it again.

I wonder if this problem will disappear once we switch to daylight saving time later next year. I hope there will be fixed Tilewave panel by then though..

Tried this but it doesn't work for me. I'm in India and the time on the panel is half an hour behind. Any other way to fix this half hour lag?

Yes, I found this problem out a while ago; guess I should have posted it. But (specifically) it ONLY occurs if you tap the actual time display button on Tilewave, and then try to set an alarm through the interface. (At that point, it looks like Tilewave tries to resolve what time zone you are currently in ....and then you're back to having to edit the Registry for zeros.);)

But, I've been using my Caveman solution for weeks now, under heavy use. Aside from the occasional hang on the Tilewave panel itself, using gtrab's WM6.5 ROM based on X2 ... the phone works pretty slick. I have galarm installed on the phone, and if I want to set an alarm, I just go back to the default WM6.5 panel to do it from the interface.

I have to say, that with this and the CNN panel, I'm finally feeling the love for Panels. Tilewave is something else, especially with the cool built-in mini RSS reader, direct click to Opera, contacts, & IM. --Really makes you wonder how cool it will be if someone can crack Slideview completely.
