I'm going to chime in on this as my partner had gotten an iPhone 13 pro and I did some comparisons camera and video wise.

The iPhone has all this praise of it being great and the photos always being on point macro detail being great to the point a DR used it on a patient's eye 😂.

But in comparison and I'm not being biased here the Find X3 Pro does a much better job at everything, autofocus is instant, detail remains even on distant objects even in pixel binning mode, macro camera there's not even a competition I'm not even joking.

I knew the X3 was a great camera but seeing it against this supposed all mighty 13 Pro that is massively overhyped in my opinion put it into perspective for me.

Low light the X3 Pro is loads quicker, detailed and not blurry the iPhone it's 50/50 if it's going to be a semi decent job or not.

But anyways 🤷‍♂️ my 2 cents

Hey, how do I take off pixel binning and get full resolution images?

Small tip: The Expert Mode produces much better Photos because of less aggressive sharpening (less ugly artifacts in details and bokeh) and more natural color saturation. And if you use the heic format you get a nicer Bokeh because of less artifacts/disturbances.

Btw...Gcam produces really good low light shots. 👍

So if you compare the X3 with any other phone...pls don't use the Auto/HDR/AI-Magic-Nonsens. 😉

While the color is fabulous and the dynamic range excellent, personally am quite negatively surprised by the high amount of noise in a lot of these photos. I hadn't noticed that in other reviews.

do you really mean noise or rather sharpening artifacts? theres is a noticable difference between auto and expert mode. i'm coming from a P30 pro and i didn't notice any disturbing noise (definitely not more than usual).

you can view all the HEIC Oppo pics regardless 8 or 10 bits on a PC with " FastRawViewer" . Just tested it. Photoshop 2022 can only manage some of them but not all .

Does anyone have the 10-bit HEIC (aka HEIF) files working on Windows 10? I can view the pictures on the phone just fine, but Windows refuses to display them. They do display fine on my Mac but not on Windows 10.

And yes, I have the HEIF Image Extensions loaded. And tried reinstalling them, and resetting them. But not joy :-(

Is it just me? Or do others have this working?

(BTW 8-bit HEIC files work just fine)
It took a bit more than 2 minutes as sharing the pic to Telegram auto-converted it to JPEG! Same if I did that from the File Explorer.

Sent by email, tried to open with Paint.Net -> no-go.
Then Microsoft Photos, which asked to to install the HEIF extension from the Store.

Didn't work :(

There is a free HEIC Image Viewer on that same store though.

Nice! Let's try that

So I gave up...

Just wanted to let you know that I've found two additional tools, which are able to deal with 10bit heic files on Windows (11). Both apps are from the publisher "screen recorder app" - one of them is called "HEIC Image Viewer", whereas the second one is named "HEIC Converter - HEIC to JPG".
Nevertheless I don't understand why the HEIC format is such a pain to use... The companies should embrace it and not stick to the old "jpg". Samsung even reverted back to not allow the automatic conversion via its own Gallery, which was previously possible via the gallery labs. One thing Oneplus does indeed better... we'll see how it develops, but my god... I'm even thinking of giving up on this goddamn HEIC format for good... 🙃 😁😇
