Hello everyone, is it possible to install apps with adb on x80 pro ? i have a global x80 pro and i don't like some native apps like google messages app or phone app, so i downloaded originals native app messages but it can't install it because ''this app is in conflict with another app'' but i can't uninstall google native messages app....
may be because it's apps from origin os ? But i don't think so....
I just want to replace global messages app by vivo messages app...
Thanks :)

as soon as I get the boot.img for this version, I can share it
I'm currently stuck with the previous version for that exact reason

soon the update zip file should be available here: http://www.vivo.com.cn/upgrade/detail?modelId=282
(currently showing the 13.8 update)

I was able to download the 12.5 and the 13.x (not 13.8, a previous version) and use these boot.img
it's possible to interrupt the update process and then recover the update.zip file that contains everything too (succeeded once only though)

a) install userdebug gsi (phh, los, leos etc) with dsu sideloader apk from github

or

b) take any recovery for your phone and change prop values for adb root in recovery

ro.secure=0
ro.adb.secure=0
security.perf_harden=0
ro.debuggable=1
persist.sys.usb.config=adb,mtp

boot into gsi or recovery

adb root
adb pull /dev/block/by-name/boot

I have the boot img for this. I pulled it from the zip file of the 12.0.14.5 update. I'm not sure if it will work for you or if somehow it depends on the specific update you get on your phone but this is the one I have.

it did, thanks

also, in order to save the update.zip file / interrupt the process, I found out that the easiest is actually to call adb reboot for instance after reaching 100%

here is a quick guide for keeping update files:
1) start downloading the update directly from settings -> software update
2) open up a terminal and be ready to adb reboot (bootloader or whatever)
3) when the progress reaches 100%, for a short period of time, it will display on screen "verifying the data integrity" (something like that)
4) at that time, run the command in the terminal
5) this will reboot the phone without installing the update

the update.zip will be available in /data/vivo-updater/com.bbk.updater/OTAPackage/

you can prevent installation by erasing misc partition after reboot

also you can try to mount any dir after download start
mount /bin /data/vivo-updater/

Honstly even simpler then all that the way I did it.

I turned off the smart upgrade and the automatically update over wifi options and watched it.
When it gets to 100 percent, it will pop up an option asking if you want to install it with a 9 second countdown.. You just click remind later.
Then open an app like Total Commander, go to file system root > data > vivo updater
Then you click on the folder there until you get into ota update
The zip will be in there
I then moved that over to my phones internal storage which is easy with total commander.
Opened the zip in total commander too since it won't install it from there and get the boot img file.

Voila.. Pretty simple. And you don't have to do any extra things.
You just have to watch when it gets to 100% on the update because it gives you 9 seconds and it will install if you don't put remind later.
Also if the file is not a 6gb ish file the boot img will only be a patch and those can't be used that I know of.

You just patch boot.img file with magisk, then use on pc commands:
1. adb reboot bootloader
2. fastboot flash boot magisk_patched-25200_RsdJL.img

that's right?
Because for me i get stuck in fastboot mode after flashing patched boot.img, but i get unstuck when i flash non-patched boot.img from "Music&Art"

Yes, that happened to me too. Try repatching it again and then try to flash the new repatched one.
I don't know why mine did the same. The second time I tried to flash the patched boot.img it seem to work.

    Hello. sorry for my bad english

    I have X80 PRO, X70 PRO PLUS, X NOTE

    ALL CN MODELS
    and one Global Ver X80 pro

    and I unlocked bootloader X70 PRO+, X NOTE with this thread

    but only X 80 pro is not working with those method.

    I have one CN model, two GLOBAL(singapore) model.

    CN model - S/W version is PD_2185_A_12.0.11.7
    GLOBAL - S/W version is PD_2185F_EX_A_12.0.11.8

    both ORIGIN OS, FUNTOUCH OS are not unlockable.

    anyone did bootloader unlock??

    PLS tell me how to unlock BL :)

    really really really want it :)

    When you said the method that worked for your x70 doesn't work for your x80, what do you mean by doesn't work?
    Did the unlock command return OKAY and then it was still locked?
    Or did it fail with some error message? If so, what's the error you're getting?
    X70, I unlocked Bootloader.

    and with same way
    X80 failed
    CN and Global both failed

    unlock cmd said Okay
    flash cmd said failed (check signature~)

    and press power button and it reboot to UI

    so I try agian,
    unlock cmd said Okay
    flash cmd said failed (too many links)

    and try agian
    unlock cmd said failed (max download size~~~)
    flash cmd said failed (check signature ~)

    So I totally have no idea how to unlock BL
    the way of unlocking doesn't work

    You mentioned in one of your posts that you also have the Vivo X Note. Did the X70 unlocking method with on it?
    Yes X note can unlock BL with X70 unlock method

    @lilddd
    At least I could unlock global X80 Pro.
    You can use this Android 12 rollback ZIP to downgrade fw to "2022-04-01" patch level.
    For global X80 Pro, I had to update to 13 Beta first, then reboot to recovery to install rollback zip.

    hmm, there's risk for brick... It seems progress bar is 0% so if it's failed before actual installation process, you'll survive.
    amazing....
    you are the best...!!!!
    I stopped update and it is reupdate automatically
    and after I downgrade 12.0.11.2 with recovery.
    I can unlock BL :)
    really thanks to you
    one more time, you are the best
