Hehehe! You should've known that with the start of this year!omg...
I guess i really DO have to buy an ativ s now! At least for playing around with this awesome stuff you guys are doing!!
Thx for this!!
This is a feature for Windows Phone 8.1. It is not implemented yet in GDR3, therefore, it will be useless to implement a deactivated feature on a phone for no reason.3 rows of tiles running here. Great things guys!!!
Next thing I suggest: I remember that one of the screenshot leaks, (I think it was Lumia 920 bought from eBay, there were many of those little while ago) there was battery % on top bar...
There were so many of those leaks that I cant remember the device and OS version for sure though. I know also that on WP7 it needed files to instal, but on WP8 could it be only a reg tweak to enable it as they are testing it?
Man I wish I could use the Samsung ATIV S on Verizon....I want to play too...
Stuck with a darn buggy as hell Nokia....
Their ATIV Odyssey, should be just as capable software wise for the interop unlock and then some more. I'm really leaning towards trying to get it the day I get my next paycheck, obtaining the app-id for its Diagnosis app, and letting @-W_O_L_F- know along with the guy who made the easy interop unlock tool, so both the custom rom and the unlock app will work for the odyssey. Unfortunately I need to be able to tackle this quickly if it ever happens.Verizon does have a Samsung WP8 device, but it's mid to low-end. It should be supported, though.
You could also switch to a carrier that uses the same wireless technology that all the rest of the world uses, instead of CDMA2000 that is only rarely used outside of the US. I imported my ATIV S from Canada, and it works great on T-Mobile US.

I really don't want to be stuck in a 2 year contract that's only going to be used for adding the Odyssey for the home team. I just got my VZW Trophy on a pay-as-you-go plan from AT&T for testing a new rom and I already have my 928 as my main phone. These darn CDMA devices are weird things anyways.
XDthe guy who made the easy interop unlock tool
That's why I've been a bit reluctant to jump and get it. I started my plan about a year ago on the trophy, and was jittery and bought the Lumia 928, because I was sick of HTC's poor app support along with Nokia exclusive app list (now that they aren't anymore...) I was slightly annoyed that I had to use SevenEighter to get 8862, but that's not a huge deal.Well... you could always say you just want to *try* the ATIV, then run the webserver on it and extract the Diag XAP, and give the phone back. Hell, I could probably do that myself (as a non-VZW customer) assuming they allow a trial period with easy cancellation.
Ideally, of course, somebody with the phone would just extract and post the XAP. It's pretty silly that the only reason we don't have interop-unlock for the phone is that we don't know a GUID that is easy to find.
