Is there already a solution for the missing push notifications? I get no such with the XDA App from Google Play nor the XDA Labs.
With XDA Legacy I get push notifications.
I use a HTC 10 running Lineage OS 14.

Did you install the app from scratch or did you restore it via Titanium Backup ? Because you lose push notifications with Titanium Backup unless you erase data and start from new, or you update it ;)

I installed from Playstore. I already cleared data/cache of the app, but no success. The XDA Labs I downloaded from the official link. Same here.

Did you check "battery optimization" in your Android settings for those apps (like XDA Labs)? If they are in Optimize list, it should explain why you don't get push notifications.

Please read HERE about XDA Labs.

Yes, I did. Both, the XDA Labs and the Playstore Version. But that dindn't change anything. I've tried Thema XDA Legacy App, too. There notifications are working ad they should.

I don't know, maybe you've disabled a background service (XDA Labs PushService for instance) or you use a battery saving app which prevent from good functionning? There could be several reasons... FYI, in my cases push notifications are working well with XDA Labs and same with most users. It could be an issue related to your system, maybe ROM related?

Ich really have no idea. Ich don't have disabled any backdground service. I use greenify, but i don't use it on the xda app.
My phone was running LOS 14, since few days I'm back on stock, waiting for the Oreo update...

Pictures not uploading in app

What's up guys, I just made an account although I've been roaming the forums for years now. I was trying to upload a screen shot to a thread in the note 8 section from my phone using the XDA Labs app, but every time its acting like it is going to upload the pic then it says "bad request" and doesn't let me upload it. Any ideas as to why this might be happening? Thanks! :p

I'm really desperate. I got the Update to Oreo, did a factory reset and set up the phone again. Nevertheless I didn't get any notifications. Yesterday I went to Leedroid, but the same here. Is there nobody, who had had the same problem with the app? There are no notifications with the playstore version and xda labs, too. With xda legacy, notifications work.

Edit:
I tried to Install the app on our tablet and the phone of my wife. Same result, no notifications. I think that cannot be coincidence. Do I have to change any settings to activate push / notifications? But there are not so much settings, so I cannot imagine that this is the reason...

With XDA labs I get notifications, when updates are available, in this case magisk manager. But there are still no notifications, when someone replies to a subscribed thread.
In the settings is the option "notify for new PMs, quotes and mentions" does that mean, that it isn't possible to get push notifications for new replies on subscribed threads?

Although I'm nothing todo with the XDA Android Tapa-talk based app - I thought it was about time we had a single thread for all discussions making it easier for the powers that be to monitor and give feedback via.

Feel free to ask questions about it's use and report any faults you find. You can also ask for new features, but I cannot promise they will ever be delivered.

N.B. The mods will be merging questions about the app into here from the "About" forum also.

    So, have at it...

As mentioned by others, XDA are working on there own mobile app (getting away from Crapatalk) as well as a mobile version of XDA. These are probably higher up the priority list right now, but an update to the existing XDA app will be coming out soon

Just a bit of a status update:

We had a meeting with Tapatalk last week and are preparing an update for the app that will fix the freezes and also give multiple choices for themes.

I'm currently rebuilding the search index which knocks the "Participated threads" tab offline in the app. It will be back as soon as the reindex is done.
