As you guys might know by now that BBM is out for Android and I thought of starting a BBM group where each of us can help others and general chat.

For those who didn't got it by now, go here - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bbm

This group is not just for our 2011 MDPI users, but instead every xperia dev/user can join :)

To join:
1. Go to groups tab.
2. Then go to the right menu and select join group.
3. Now scan this barcode:

Or you could leave your PIN here or PM me :D :)

P.S. - Moderators if this thread is not appropriate please take proper action. :)

Cheers,
AJ

Someone please help!

I started using BBM on last Tuesday! Used it smoothly until i accepted one group invitation which resulted into force close. After which i cleared data, force stopped the app and restarted again! It all went well but when i tried the same yesterday, iy won't takr me beyond Setting Up BBM screen.?? I tried the solution provided by the people on blackberry forums related to date and time but nothing helped! I also uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled from play store but still the same! Please someone help me out! :'(

With the increasingly large number of BBM threads being created throughout XDA on a regular basis, the Moderation Team assigned to this group of forums has decided that it's simply not feasible to allow it to continue any further. Since BBM groups are more of a social group rather than a discussion about a particular device, they are not appropriate for a device specific forum such as this one, and in the interest of keeping the forums clean we have decided to close all BBM threads in our assigned device specific forums.

Having said that, there are options still available to users that require the use of BBM groups as a medium for communication:

1) You may post your PINs, group info, etc., in the BBM for Android located in XDA General.

2) You can send your info through a private message to the OPs of existing BBM group threads.

3) You can include your PIN, QR code, or group info in your signature.

Since BBM groups are a relatively new topic on XDA, it is still possible that certain accomodations could be made sometime in the future depending on the overall need. Until then, the decision to close all BBM threads in our area will remain in effect so we appreciate your understanding and cooperation on the matter.

Thank you
