Do you know what that little icon is at the top right is during videos?

You can't seem to highlight it to click on.
You can highlight it by first navigating to the "back to channel guide arrow at the top Left, then press the remote key to the right and it will be highlighted.
The button is to activate the Picture in Picture function.
A few posts up i describe a bit how I've found to use it (maximize after being minimized).

It seems a bit bugged, for instance once you switch to PiP mode and then (click on the channel in guide to maximize again) it seems like pressing the Back arrow on the remote doesn't work to take you back to the channel guide....I've had to tweak it a bit to get back to guide...or just force close the app.
Overall it's a pretty cool feature....this app used to do that waaaayy back....you could have the PiP open while browsing the channel guide and a pop out window so you can respond to a text etc

Also it won't look highlighted...but if you're positioned at the "back" arrow (Top Left of screen) and click the remote to the right and click it will click the icon
That's another thing I can not seem to highlight the "back" arrow lol

I also learned while watching a video if you click the home button it sends it to PIP. But as you said it's buggy and when going back to full screen the back button will not work at all. And so you need to restart the app lol

O well better then nothing right :)

I am just happy I have access to all my channels and in HD too on my Shield TV.

I know Comcast earlier this year released the "official" xfinity stream app on Apple TV and a few other devices.

I assume the official app is a lot better then our modded ones especially when running on fast devices like Apple TV.

With luck someday soon Comcast will finally do the right thing and release the official app for Shield TV and other Android TV devices.

Until then thank my lucky stars for you guys :)

Hmm interesting.....for me, three UP presses on the remote takes me up to & highlights the Back arrow.
The 1st up press highlights the Captions menu, 2nd press the Stop button and 3rd press the Back arrow....it's a faint highlight, hard to notice sometimes

Even modded, this is still an "official" app. They're changing 1 byte, might be 4 bytes as an integer is 4 bytes, to bypass the HDMI restriction.

It's almost impossible to decompile back to raw java code, especially with the tools being used. Although I'm pretty sure it can be done...

@louforgiveno Thank you so much for figuring this out. I've also found that APK Editor Studio was the problem on my end. I tried a few different different APK tools on my Windows desktop and finally found one that would compile the APK that I was able to install on my Nvidia Shield, APK Tool GUI. I also didn't need to uninstall the icon, just the app when installing.

I think what he is saying is it would be nice to have the app officially for the shield (available in playstore). Because this app currently is optimized for touch input more so than remote control navigation...and their could be further optimization to app loading speed/scrolling etc if it were to be officially tailored for the shield as it sounds like has been done for apple tv boxes

Anyone else having trouble installing these 7.1.xxxx versions on a Bravia TV? I was able to install "Xfinity Stream BETA MODDED 7.0.0.009" without issue, but always get an "App not installed" error when trying to install any of the 7.1.xxx versions. TV is a Sony 75Z8H.
Make sure you uninstall all previous versions and icons when upgrading to v7.1.x.xxx
