No luck getting this to install on Chromecast 4K yet.

I tried downloading in a couple of downloaded browsers, APKMirror doesn't see it, nor any of my files managers. should be in the download folder?

Make sure you install the icon APK as well. Otherwise, you can only run it if you got to Settings>Apps and start open Xfinity Stream from there.

7.1 should install on the Chromecast with Google TV. I have it installed on 3 of them.
I am getting this error when I try to sign in. I downloaded both the 7.1 and icon APK and when I open the Xfinity Stream app it takes me here to sign on and then get this message. (On Google TV btw)

You need to sideload a web browser. Also, you might need to hook up a mouse to be able to navigate and enter your credentials.

Off topic - but I also use the spectrum app. When launching, it does a von check and won’t run. I run a vpn to my home network and would like to access my paid subscription while out of home.

Is there a similar “switch” that can be changed like the hdmi code on the Xfinity app?

Thanks!!

I can do the same with my moms Xfinity and vpn to her house. When doing this for Spectrum, when opening the app, it does a VPN check. I was hoping some code guru could turn the check off like the hdmi for the Xfinity app.

I’ve installed both FireTV versions, and it’s saying “Updates required” and “To enjoy your favorite TV and movies, go to your device settings and update your Android version to at least 5.0. Then download the latest version of the app in the Google Play Store or Amazon AppStore” and I am on the latest Android version for NVIDIA Shield TV Pro. It hasn’t worked for months.

I also tried the Beta modded version, but that one just closes as soon as I press sign in… Any update soon please??

Make sure you uninstall any older Xfinity Stream first. Then you should be able to install 7.1 and Icon for it. You will also need a wen browser installed in order to enter your credentials the first time running it. 7.1 works fine on the Nvidia Shield, I have it installed on mine.

Just installed, working perfectly.
Quick DIY made banner PNG attached, as well as generic app logo. Then used This to create the launcher shortcut. Generated apk using these 2 images is attached.
Cheers!

Surprised I never stumbled upon this thread already!

Just got the modded Shaw Bluecurve app working on my Nvidia Shield. I had to use the "TV Bro" app to login, but it seems to be working well now.

Thanks to everyone involved!

Wow so cool to find this thread! I've been modding the Xfinity Stream app myself for years for the HDMI lock. I actually haven't used my streaming box in a while and when I connected it, surprisingly it still works using version 6.8.0.016. It does prompt to update but I would need to update the Android version in that box from 6 to 7. In the mean time, I bought a new MBOX with Android TV 10, and downloaded the newest .apk 7.1.0.026 and installed that on the new box. Everything works good but LIVE TV stutters to where you can't watch it. Recordings, and all other apps seem to play fine. This is how I wound up finding this thread tonight lol. I see other people were having this issue but not a real resolution. I saw possibly something to do with eye protection settings. Some people were saying if they held their finger on the screen, it would play normally until you removed your finger (obviously this was on their tablet or phone). Has anyone run into this issue? My new box is an:

Android 10.0 TV Box, Android Box 4GB RAM 64GB ROM H616 Quad-Core 64-bit
