For the 12 Global EEA Xiaomi released the update to Android 13 today.
That means for the 12 Pro EEA it won't take long anymore.
Will keep you posted.

For the readers that are interested in it:
I am running Android 13 with Miui 13 on the 12 Pro EEA now already for 1 day without any issues.
The rom is the final build for the Mi testgroup that soon will be released as final for everyone.

Who is interested here the guide how to flash and the download links.

1. Flash using TWRP that works on our device
2. Choose in TWRP to flash to the not used A or B partition.

Sounds like I should switch to this since the Global Android 13 has been 4 months without any updates released... I wonder if a dirty flash would work 🤨

24 hours use with the Android 13 EEA build for the 12 Pro.
No issues at all, even a snappier build (it really does) and the battery usage seems a bit better specially when (as I do) you use a smartwatch that is connected 24hrs a day with the phone over BT.

I just dirty flashed from Global A13 to this and everything seems to be working fine

Xiaomi is rolling out for eligible Android 13 devices for the Chinese market en masse Miui 14.
From the 1st of January rest of the world will receive the Miui 14 update.

Today the 12 Pro Global EEA with MIUI 14 (Android 13) is released.
Atention: you can only flash this rom with the appropriate custom recovery for Android 13 installed on the device!!

Basic experience
MIUI uses less memory now and keeps being swift and responsive over much more extended periods.

Personalization
Attention to detail redefines personalization and brings it to a new level.
Super icons will give your Home screen a new look. (Update the Home screen and Themes to the latest version to be able to use Super icons.)
Home screen folders will highlight the apps you need most making them just one tap away from you.

More features and improvements
Search in Settings is now more advanced. With search history and categories in results, everything looks much crisper now.

System
Updated Android security patch to January 2023. Increased System security.

    Since yesterday there is a new update for the Global EEA version.
    The date of the security patch is still 1st of May so it is not clear what the changes are.
    Will try to find out and post it here when available.

    Well the EEA Global version differs due to the EU Privacy laws so no ads when you during the first setup of the device choose not to allow ads and afterwards you can still switch them off..
    Further there is much less bloatware and the few apps that are defined as bloatware you can uninstall easily with ADB or with the XiaomiAdbflash tool.
    There is no need for a custom rom like the xiaomi.eu rom because when you are unlocked it is quite easy to remove 99% of the apps you don't like but you can still get the monthly updates from Xiaomi themselves so no issues with camera and other kind of stuff compared with a custom rom.
    Nowadays there is no real need for a custom rom because you can make the factory rom as clean as you want by yourself and eventually use apps like Blokada.
