EDIT: I flash today Android Pie GSI version.

After flashing GSI, you can found Open GAPPS unofficial here: https://builds.nezorfla.me/?dir=opengapps/pie/arm64

For no error 70, before flashing Open GAPPS, you must do that: Wipe -> Advanced Wipe -> Select System -> Repair or Change File System -> Resize File System -> Swipe to Resize
After, you can flash Open GAPPS, Magisk (for root) and Dm-Verity, and finally reboot
Hi,
I can't install OpenGapps 9.0 - error 20 - "your system is 8.1, use ...".
I tried HavocOs P & AOSP P, Pixel Experience flashed without problems.

Hi, I come back with GSI 8.1 Android and OpenGapps 8.1.
I try only one time Android and OpenGapps 9 because so much bugs.
Normally, you have "error - your system is 8.1, use ..." when you flash unofficial OpenGapps 9 with 8.1 Android rom.

Thank you very much, mate! Can we expect to see an official TWRP release as well as LineageOS 15.1?

PS: Does Android P GIS work well? Are there any known issues so far?
JUST FLASHED THE AOSP 9.0 v104. SPECIFICALLY "system-arm64-aonly-vanilla-su.img.xz"
LTE version.
followed the GBouerat's instruction and no gaps added
issues are as follows:
the resolution seems abnormal (weaker than 1080P, not sure).
hotspot cannot be open by the main button. (through the connection of USB, the function works well.)
google search bar cannot be moved.
incompatible software. (the notification was "stop working, etc.")
the connection model cannot change to transfer model or PTP model
the rest works fine.

Did you edit build.prop in /Vendor as is wrote(#5) in this thread?
9.0 Pie isn't stable and/or final build.
AOSP & AICP Oreo are better.

Okay I tried this GIS for the first time in my life... I havent done anything to build prop yet but so far everything seems to be fine except....

Wifi is always off when I restart the tablet...
I want google functionality so I flashed gapps... But now there's this Pixel Setup notification that doesnt go away....
USB Storage didnt work for me also...

Does anyone have any solutions for those?

EDIT: Okay my bad, i flashed the wrong system image... Android 9.0 vanilla... no wonder... everything is fine now... i think

How to update Boot, Vendor, System:

Download the newest fastboot firmware Miui China, extract Boot & Vendor. Go to TWRP.

Install img:
Boot
Vendor
System GSI(I use AICP)

Install zip:
Gapps
Disable-Dm-verity-FEC
Magisk 17+
Wipe cache & dalvik, reboot.

Or

Download the newest MiuiEu, make full backup into TWRP (boot, system, data, vendor, firmware).
Wipe system, data, cache, dalvik, install MiuiEu.zip, reboot.
Go back to TWRP, wipe data, system, cache, dalvik, restore only system & data, install Magisk.zip, wipe cache & dalvik, reboot.

After following the instructions, my device bootlooped every time, no matter which rom i tried.
I fixed that by flashing a newer version of MIUI following these instructions http://en.miui.com/thread-3780976-1-1.html and then attempting the GSI installation again.

Another info: AOSP 9.0 did boot but had a few crashes of google apps, making the initial setup impossible.
AOSP 8.1 works pretty well now.

so can i ask a couple questions regarding the flashing procedure?
we dont have to flash vendor files like i do on oneplus6 right? just keep the firmware updated to latest version
we flash just system images only with A partition not A/B?
