Basically, I changed the broken touch screen with a new one (from AliExpress) , and everything was done with extreme caution.
It was replaced successfuly, and its working, but it will not boot up after the change. It's just stuck at Mi Logo screen.
Can't boot into recovery mode, but can in FastBoot.
Bootloader is locked, so I cant flash a new recovery.

Thanks

Update 1: I disconnected touch screen flex cable and the phone booted up normaly. The display is intact and working, but since I detached flex cable I can't use touch input. Any ideas on how to fix this issue???

Sounds like an issue with the display you got. It's it an official one? If yes, try reflashing the frimware or doing a factory reset with the touchescreen connected. Otherwise you might have to contact the seller and send the display back.
If the original cracked screen still kinda works see if you can boot up with it to be sure the issue is the new screen.

I can confirm that the issue is linked with the digitizer. If I disconnect the digitizer flex cable and use my MI-4c with the aid of an usb mouse, then it works just fine. It could well be only a quality problem with cheap replacement lcds but I suspect it could have anything to do with the fact that MI-4i and MI-4c use a very similar display (the lcd flex is different but the digitizer SEEMS just the same one; the physical dimensions and the look of the front are certainly the same and this could lead to some factories actually swapping them): maybe this kind of issue is due to a different digitizer controller or something similar. I'd like to know how to check this theory but unfortunately I don't.

I was reading here:

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/7425303/replacing-touchscreen-driver-in-android-kernel

and it seems digitizer drivers are built into the kernel. The kernel is (or it might be) the first thing to be loaded and this explains why we're stuck on MI logo. I'm even more convinced that the issue is linked to the digitizer not being the one for the MI-4c but I haven't the necessary knowledge to go deeper.

F.F.F.....touch screen

****ing...fake... freaky touchscreen.....Battle of Life and Death. Thousands of curses and 2 broken-down push-button cables + 2 displays but I realized it was not my fault ... I finally turned off the touchscreen ... and victory ..... but a little detail ... . if the phone is stuck while pushing you see only the logo .... if you see a logo and under your Android phone's signature phone works and installs
