hello all, and thx for all advices in this thread
i managed to fix boot to recovery loop with uninstalling com.qualcomm.location

it was pain to turn on usb debugging so i will share my experience
heating up unfortunately didn't help

i tried it with sim, without sim, with sd card, without sd card
i noticed system is laggy with sd card - even the settings did not open

so i just poped the slot 2mm out, only sd card in - restarted - unlocked phone -> opened settings -> dev settings -> poped card socket in - and turn on the usb debugging

somehow this gave me more time to confirm it

ps: locksreen with no pin code makes phone auto reboot without touching it, 1st i did the card trick to set the locksreen pincode

maybe this help someone else :)

thx again xda people :)

Hello everyone,

Just would like to thank you guys for the help I've found here ! (xiaomi's solution is to wipe everything .... )
The hardest part was to enable USB Debug.
First, getting the correct procedure for my phone, then doing it as fast as possible.
The idea of heating my phone to gain some time looks crazy but it actually work. I personally put my phone close to my wood stove to heat it up :D (not to close ! )
Finally, the adb part was easy (found some help using adb for linux here : Link )

Just dropping the procedure to enable USB Debug in case someone looks for it
Settings > Additional settings > Developer Options > USB Debug

Now my phone wants me to upgrade to MIUI 13.0.13.0. I'm currently running MIUI 13.0.12.0 (RGKEUXM).

What do you guys think ? Doing the upgrade or not ?
I have to admit, I'm a little fearful doing the upgrade after one day without a phone, struggling with debug mode.

Actually I decided to do wipe tomorrow since not much time for reinstalling today and because of that I tried few more times with heating the phone. This time I used hair drier, put phone between bed sheet and heated it for like 1-2 min each side (previously I was doing it shorter, this time I tried for a bit longer). Finally it worked. Also I previously heated phone when it was on lock screen but this times I was heating phone while it was on the black "reboot screen" and did the restart after heating phone, finishing the heating after lock screen appeared.

Now I have problem with adb cause my device list is empty after using "adb devices" command but I will work with this tomorrow.

Please bear in mind that, as it has been stated in previous posts, upgrading the system don't actually reinstall the buggy component. I have 13.0.13.0 and the bug occured to me so I had to proceed to the component removing via ADB.

Finally, the tricky part being enabling USB debug, even though your phone should enter into bootloop mode again after update, you'd only have to repeat the ADB process.

Also, 13.0.5.0 should remove the bug, allowing you to reinstall the (no longer) buggy component. Personally, I know I won't ;)

Hello guys, I'm still trying to enable USB debugging.
I updated my phone to new vers.13.0, but I can not see something to be different.

I think that Xiaomi have to release update with Uninstall the previous vers.13.5 and after that release 13.0.

I don't know what to do...

What do you think?

Hi, sorry for the bad english. My Xiaomi Note 11 worked perfectly fine for months since I bought it, but last night I accidentally left it charging for the whole night and when I woke up, it suddenly rebooted to recovery mode. I rebooted it back to system, which reboots the phone as usual, then I unlocked the lockscreen, everything went perfectly normal, until it rebooted again to recovery mode. I tried rebooting again, but it rebooted again to recovery mode after I unlocked the lockscreen. I tried booting it to safemode, but it went the same way. However, when I leave the lockscreen unlocked, it doesn't reboot itself. I tried turning it off and rebooting it with the screen unlocked but it did nothing. Do you guys ever have the same problem? Is there any way to fix it without wiping the data? I have some banking apps and other data that would be difficult to recover if I were to wipe out the phone.
same with me, but I managed to solve it by wiping data and all my files are gone :hammer

Hello everyone , yesterday , a family members phone has recieved the same boot loop after updating , and they insisted to fix it without wiping the phone data , this thread is exactly what ive been looking for, there is one problem tho , for some reason , unlike how it is with most others i see here , the phone restarts almost immeadetly after it boots up , it takes around 3 seconds to turn back off , making it impossible to enable usb debugging.
Does anyone have any idea why it acts differently like that ?

Finally today i got it!

With an SD card in the phone and after a day with the phone powered on I have succeeded in enabling USB-Debugging.
After that, with the phone locked, I was able to execute the commands:

The phone is working now.
Now i updated to 13.0.13.0 and still ok.

One question:
What did we uninstall?

Do you have screen lock enabled? From what I saw previously someone posted that without any lock device was restarting after turning on.

Now I have problem with adb cause my device list is empty after using "adb devices" command but I will work with this tomorrow.

Ok, today I was able to work with this adb. I think my pc have some problem with usb ports/drivers and was not seeing the phone so I used the old laptop.
I'm not sure if this helps someone but I didn't know how to work with this debugging mode and my phone was unauthorized when I used adb devices command (at least it was seen this time, list was not empty like on pc). When the phone is connected to the computer you need to unclock it and accept the debugging, phone can reboot after but laptop was now able to work with it and then it is shown after using adb devices command. Then just go:
adb shell
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.qualcomm.location

and after unlocking screen phone is not restarting anymore.
Thanks everyone for help :)

For the record, I've sent an email to xiaomi support yesterday. Sorry it's french :)

Bonjour,

Cordialement,
L'équipe Xiaomi France.

Basically, for them no way to fix this unless you wipe everything out ..... and if it's not working your phone will require a fix....
Finally on xiaomi site there is a post in which you are instructed to wipe everything and to make factory reset.

Well I'm so glad to have found a real solution here :)

Since yesterday, no issue at all with the phone, running as usual and all services were up and running

Hi guys , finally I did it today !
After heating the phone with a hairdryer for about 10 minutes, I was able to enable the USB debugging.
Slight update is that you need to accept the SHA key once it is enabled - meaning unlock the phone and accept it fast.
Then execution of the adb commands were a breeze.
Really appreciate your help guys ! Kudos to XDA :D

my device is rebooting to recovery mode only 10s after unlocking it. So I cannot enable usb debugging as after clicking on "USB Debugging" to enable, it once again asks for confirmation which counts down for 10seconds. is there any other way to enable usb debugging.
KEEP TRYING. I cannot stress this enough, just got my phone back from that hell-loop thanks to pxbrz for his advice and Adonys for sharing it. After like 70 or so attempts it didn't put me through the countdown, just an "Are you sure" pop-up and done.

To give you a chance as possibly close to mine, take into account I:
    -Was in airplane mode.
    -Had battery saver on.
-Entered settings through the notifications tab directly from the lock screen.
-Passed through the steps as fast as I could.
-Checked the waiver box before the countdown ended.
-Close to the countdownless attempt, I kept tapping like crazy the countdown blocked button in case I was able to catch a minuscule frame (I'm guessing it happened though I didn't actually saw the button lit up).

(I have no idea if anything of the above had an actual effect but just in case)

Then I used the ADB command as pxbrz kindly instructed: (avoid the quotes)
"pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.qualcomm.location" Followed this guide before:

I haven't updated yet though some ppl in the thread said it's safe while you keep the service uninstalled, I'll avoid the update for as long as I can.

Any questions whatsoever about what I exactly did, feel free to ask. It's not gonna damage your phone more than it is already and you'll get your phone AND files back.

PD: Immediately backup right after just in case, I know I will lol.

Exact same problem, started appearing today. This is so weird. I already wiped data and the problem persists; went thorough the setup with no issue, and as soon as I finished it and the phone goes to the main screen, after a few seconds it started appearing again.
