Hi all,

since there is not dedicated forum as of now, I'll try and post my question here.

Are there any custom roms or has anyone tested a GSI for the new Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro?

there are no custom roms yet
GSI roms should work similar to this device

How did you unlock the bootloader and flash a recovery?
I can't find TWRP images for this device.

You can go to https://en.miui.com/unlock/index.html to download software to unlock bootloader. (check here on xda, how you can unlock.. ;-)).
One of the activities is to have xiaomi account. You need to login with that on your tablet, before you can unlock.

You have to do some activities and wait for 168hours... (not a joke).

Then after the unlock, you need to boot into Fastboot, where you can flash the GSI image with ADB.

(must likely you would need to remove the product partition, otherwise the the image wont fit. Also make sure you download A image. Pad 6 Pro only has A. )

I've been using this Xiaomi Pad 6 pro with 12/256 for about 2 weeks now, and normally I feel the urge to get away from MIUI as quickly as I can, but dang this chinese rom is doing so well! No weird chinese apps that can not be removed, no problems with syncing all my google accounts ... Not sure yet if theres a need to change to another customr rom (yet) im surprised.

Just installed this GSI: https://github.com/ponces/treble_build_pe/releases/
Seems to work fine so far, although, it for some reason thinks there's always a physical keyboard connected, so I had to make the on-screen keyboard always enabled.
You can also force the display to use 144hz with the GSI under Phh Treble Settings > Misc features > Force FPS
It's great that there are already roms that can be flashed. Unfortunately, I lack the knowledge of how to do it - I found a description for mi pad 5 below:
Reboot to fastboot
Open an cmd:

fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img

fastboot reboot fastboot

fastboot flash system system-roar-arm64-ab-vndklite-vanilla.img

fastboot reboot recovery

Make an factory reset

Reboot

A question for the author if and what instructions you gave, whether the same as for mi pad 5 from this manual or other. Please write more precisely what and how you flashed along with the issued commands.

Does fast charging work on the GSi (the tablet will be 100% charged in 1hour)?
where to download this file vbmeta.img ? Is it supposed to be the same as for mi pad 5?

Yesterday I've installed the PixelExperience on my Pad 6 Pro.
Installation wasn't as straight forward as you'd like, since the recovery is in chinese.
Biggest pitfall: Please make sure to use a current version of the Google Platform Tools (adb, etc.).
I've used the files included in MiFlash 2022.05.07 and they worked. The ones I've used before just threw some unrelated errors that I spent hours researching to no avail.

After the flash, as _Hinnie_ mentioned, it thinks there is a physical keyboard attached so you have to skip the setup-wizard and go to the settings and enable the on-screen keyboard when a hardware keyboard is attached.
-> so thats no problem

For bluetooth audio to work, you need to activate the setting "Use System Wide BT HAL" in "Phh Treble Settings".
As far as I can tell, everything works like a charm. Didn't find anything broken as of yet.

Rooting the device using Magisk worked as well, I've downloaded the fastboot ROM from MIUI directly to get the correct vbimage.img and boot.img to work with.

I love this tablet without this shi**y MIUI.

All info neccessary is in this thread already.

Download Bootloader unlock.
Download PixelExperience.
Download MIUI fastboot ROM (for the vbimage.img).
Flash it with adb (see post from arydlews).
Done.

Can anyone help please ?

I flashed the vbmeta.img (got it from Google website) and i get to the FASTBOOTD screen, however when i try to flash the ROM, i get the error message below:

PS C:\Users\Reppa\Downloads\miflash_unlock_en_7.6.602.42> fastboot flash system .\vndklitePixelExperience_Plus_arm64-ab-vndklite-13.0-20230503-UNOFFICIAL.img
Resizing 'system_b' FAILED (remote: 'Not enough space to resize partition')
fastboot: error: Command failed

Can anyone help with this topic please ?

Hi everyone, i am currently flashing paranoid topaz for liuqin but i have a question :
since i removed partition b to fit the flash of the custom rom how can i restore Chinese miui in case i want to sell the tablet?
I tried mi flash but it gives error missing boot_ab partition.
Is there a way to restore the original partitions? I thought miflash would do that in automatic...
    fastboot rom, flash_all.bat

already tried it and it works fine

    Hi Guys,

I had flash PixelExperience_Plus_arm64-ab-13.0-20230713-UNOFFICIAL.img and finally working.

This is my step, at first flash back stock rom 14.0.0.6 then login xaiomi account,

I had unlock again, although it display verify fail (already unlock).

Then I do flash by under command ↓

    adb reboot bootloader

    fastboot devices

    fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta_a vbmeta.img

    fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta_b vbmeta.img

    fastboot reboot fastboot

    fastboot getvar all

    fastboot delete-logical-partition product_a

    fastboot flash system system.img

    fastboot -w

    fastboot reboot recovery

Then into stock recovery wipe data / factory reset

After reboot finally get the 「G」LOGO !

I have no idea why I success flash it.

After success flash PixelExperience_Plus_arm64-ab-13.0-20230713-UNOFFICIAL , I tried vndklite type but still bootloop.

Recommend magisk mods to me ?

Share above, thanks arydlews and Djreppa for your help.

    Hi Hinnie,

I had recive my 6 pro last day.

I install treble check from google play,

But It seems not support GSI ROM,

it's okay to flash GSI ROM?
if you have downloaded any programs to verify compatibility, forget about them. Do as it is written in this thread and you will install GSI. First you must have an unlocked system.
