the kernel sources are not out buddy , Ivan has even mentioned that, he had a word with @Riichard63 in the miui forum

Okay so actually he'll be busy, so he stops updates for this rom.
He may come back later for android 5.1.
But I hope we get official sources before 5.1 update.

I never seen random data transfer over my internet connection, whereas I had aslo enable 'show speed in status bar'.
Also I would like to suggest to stop auto starting of apps, including Google Play Services, etc, using "Auto Start" app.
Also, I checked the connections using ZAnti app, it also didn't shown any extra connections, connection to any unknown links/ips/website etc.
