But it seems no other way other than to use it.

So, could you please replace the weather image with the one from LG G2?
LG have the most beautiful weather widget ever.

Umm, the widget itself is half transparent, thats the best thing.
The top-right part usually almost transparent.
If you make it 100& transparent, then it wont look good.

Good morning i am trying to flash that weather widget.I am on stock 4.4.2 rooted on my N9005.I everytime i am trying to install the apk my phone says that i could finish the install.Am i doing something wrong?I tried OP link and one mega mirror from this post but no luck.Please guide me i am pretty sure i am doing something really wrong.

No you can't. Phone must be rooted to replace the original weather apk.

The other way is to extract the file. Copy n paste to root-system-app by replacing the original file. If your rom is stock delete the AccuWeather.odex and restart your phone. Dont forget to backup the original file first.
