My Mom's Phone's OS went wrong.. My lil bro was trying tweaks he doesnt understand on it... I need to reset it back to stock. I have been doing this for my own Sola, all i needed to know is that whether the procedure is the same for Ray as well?
i.e. Just flash the stock FTF?
If not, what needs to be done? I want to return the device back to 4.0.4 stock OS, SIM unlocked.
ASAP
Yes it's the same procedure as on your sola. Just flash the stock rom using flashtool, but be sure to use the right stock ftf for your device (Xperia ray) ;)

Wifi connectivity problem in CM 9.1 - LWW

I have recently flashed my live with walkman with CM 9.1 rom. It's really amazing except for one main problem. Wifi frequently disconnects. And no its not a problem with my router or internet. My wifi bar constantly switches between gray and blue. Has anyone else had similar problem ?

And the Network signal bar somehow seems to be coupled with the Wifi bar. Everytime the wifi bar goes gray the signal bar also greys out. But i tried calling and receiving calls, eventhough it was grey i had no problem with calls. Only with Wifi.

And yes i have also deleted the files under /data/misc/dhcp. Still the problem persists.

Note: I have never had wifi connection problems in my stock rom. Only after installing CM 9.1.

Any suggestions guys ?

not a real solution, but cm9.1 is old, 2ndly FXP no longer support our devices... better u go with Legacy Xperia CM10.1 rom which is the better choice. also there are not much problem with wifi.

I checked the site for legacy xperia rom. When i saw the working/not working list for both 10.1 and 10.2 i saw that Wifi is listed under "Buggy". Should i still go ahead with it ? or is there any other stable rom for coconut device. Right now atleast wifi connects sometimes. But when i click video. it crashes saying " Unfortunately camera has stopped" . Can you suggest some other stable roms with these problems fixed ?

I also want to know the difference between nightly and release as i saw them on legacy xperia site. I know nightly are experimental version but is the release version a stable or snapshot release ?

sry to say that but the only stable ROM with 100% working wifi is stock ICS. same with camera if u need to get 100% out of it. but let me say:

for LX (cm10.1): wifi is okay no problem for me. i never have disconnects, speed is fine. but there some few users which have some problems with it (like dont want connect) but LX is defintly worth a try. its just marked as buggy as its not 100%. same for the camera, but i differs from phone. atleast its a usable camera , but not on stock ics quality. video recording works normally its just that its not that good as recorded with stock ics. but i dont crashes. i would definetly give LX a try its really wort it. may zu do a backup of your current rom , so if u dont like it (just remeber to replace trebuchet launcher by nova or apex, trebuchet is a bit buggy & annoying :p) u just have to reflash old kernel, wipe data/factory reset & restore old rom this is no big deal.

for ur 2nd question, my friend uses the cm10.1 release rom & is very happy with it (ARC/S) there no problems so far. the release version is a version stable/usable for daily use as possible at this time. (we dont have the snapshot section.) as for now cm10.1 development is stopped to focus on cm11 & ION, the cm10.1 will not be refreshed until we may get ION. btw its also the newest version of of the cm10.1 builds. if u do all right u willl not encounter any problems with it, only rhing like said, the camera is not as good as ICS one (but it works flawlessly its just the quality of vids & pics) & wifi is buggy for some users , but like said i even use cm11 & never had wifi problems, all workng fine. my friend too has no wifi problems all is fine which using cm10.1. i would totally recommend you to atleast try this awesome rom. from your current rom description it can only be better.

just remember a 2nd thing: dont use gapps from LX download site, just use the gapps for cm10.1 from http://goo.im/gapps

let me know the results :)
