yes I have but still the same problem  thanks anyway :)

So just to clarify:
Xperia XZ1 you can't hear people during a phone call.
The 20 second sound bug is fixed?

I try to address the issues this weekend, maybe i will do a whole overhaul for the devices with platform MSM8998, SDM845 and MSM8996.

SM8150 works confirmed fine.
SM8250 works also fine (confirmed by me 😁)

So I will fix the bugs first 😊

By the way, I took a look at the new Xperia 1III firmware and it seems like Sony is bringing an equalizer back.
Further I was able to port all qualcomm sound effects to the kona platform.

Also be aware that I have configured the audio as I see fit. So be welcome to give me your opinion, especially if you want to increase the bass output.

So stay tuned and have a nice day.

okay, i try first, so this is update from v.1.4.0 sir ?

thank you

No not a real update, I simply addressed the issues I found in the logs 😉

- removed one '[' from service.sh which was there accidentally
- turned 'dig_core_collapse' back on (explanation:
turning off can improve the sound, but it can also cause no sound bugs, especially after a reboot with less then 40% battery, or sometimes just random. It's a Qualcomm power saving function)

With a app like Kernel Auditor or Exkernel Manager you can control it on the fly.

/sys/module/snd_soc_wcd9335/parameters/dig_core_collapse_enable

Simply turn it with 1 on, with a 0 off.

    I proudly presents you:

    Xnext™ WalkMan

This modification is made to give the best possible audio experience on Sony Xperia Devices.

    Unique features

    • ALSA custom sound control, crosscompiled with Qualcomm Compiler
    • updated opus, vorbis and flac codecs
    • stripped audio effects, for reduced audio processing (and better sound performance)
    • 32bit / 96.0khz (Xperia 1ii / 5ii)
    • 24bit / 96.0khz (all other devices)
    • everything is logged, you can check what this modification is doing ( /system/usr/share/alsa/debug )
      • execute with a terminal as root:
        • check ( audioflinger dump )
        • test.sh ( place a wave audio file on your internal storage, name it test.wav, then execute the script, this will play your file direct via aplay )
        • you can also use aplay, arecord, alsactl, amixer alsaucm directly, if you are familiar with it ( if you mess something up - its your own fault, but you can ask for help anyway )
    • custom Dolby Atmos configuration
    • audio output power is greatly improved, so be careful with the volume
