Yeah
I don't think that you can just update via CWR(It makes no sense,I think)
Here is step by step instruction, but who have tasted it?
So you can be the first, or you can wait for Smth clever on xda:) but even if you'll try it first your device would be unrooted :)

Use this if you have cwm already. 3rd paragraph first download. Make a back in cwm of your xoom. It will create the folder you need to unzip the downloaded file on the SD card. Then put the whole dated folder into the cwm backup folder and restore. You will have 3.2. Only do this if running 3.1 rooted.

If you look at the folder that is downloaded it has a date of 8_5_****. Use just that folder that has system, nandroid, boot, and recovery. It goes in your sdcard under clockworkrecovery/backup. That is why I said if you have cwm then make a backup using it. Make sure to have your sdcard in the xoom. You will then have the directory on the card for that new folder. After that folder is put on the card with the new files you go back into cwm and use it to do a restore. It will not delete anything on you xoom. It does move the sdcard to mnt/external though. Oh and don't worry about the second download file you don't need it. And quit reading the directions they are screwy!

Okay sorry but im trying to understand what your saying here. So my understanding is that you download the update file unzip it then move that file into the CWM backup folder then go into CWM and do a restore?? does that sound right ?

Yes, then goto cwr and restore using the file you downloaded

Thanks all for the clarification on those instructions and download. Flash with CWR on my 3.1 unlocked/rooted 3G Xoom, made the CWR backup for the file structure, unzipped the file downloaded as instructed and then restored that 8_5 file via CWR and rebooted.

Looks like all the data is there and confirmed 3.2 plus the ext card memory in the settings.

Appreciate all those pointers and clarifications on thread!
