I got the update, but some reason the Zoom for apps never shows. My sister has the wifi Xoom with 3.2 and it has the extra button. Anyone else missing it? Or anyone in the know of how to activate it?

Use this if you have cwm already. 3rd paragraph first download. Make a back in cwm of your xoom. It will create the folder you need to unzip the downloaded file on the SD card. Then put the whole dated folder into the cwm backup folder and restore. You will have 3.2. Only do this if running 3.1 rooted.

Ok, I know this is a big pain in the ass, but I'm not sure I understand and I want to be sure I do this right.

I have a 3.1 stock rooted USA verizon 3g xoom. If I understand correctly, when you refer to the "3rd paragraph" is that the one titled "You Must Use this nandroid backup if you are running a non stock Rom. This is already Rooted" ? Even though I'm running a stock rom?

So I download the first file (step 2) from the aforemention 3rd paragraph, unzip the folder with the dates onto an external microsd card into /clockworkmod/backup which I will then place in the xoom's sdcard slot, reboot and then run a restore from CWM on the folder I just put there? And that's it? 3.2 rooted?

Thanks!

Ok, so I followed those directions, booted into ClockworkMod Recovery v3.0.2.5 (since v4+ can't read /sdcard for some reason?) then selected "backup and restore", then "restore", then selected the folder that I unzipped "2011-08-05.06.41.49" then scrolled all the way down to "Yes - Restore" at which point the bottom half of the screen begins to say "Checking MD5 sums..." then "Error while erasing boot image!"

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?! Much help needed and would be highly appreciated! :D

Thanks!

UPDATE: Ok, so here's what I did...extracted the zipped file onto my computer (using windows xp) and then reboot into fastboot. Did fastboot flash boot boot.img, then fastboot flash recovery recovery.img and finally fastboot flash system system.img. When all those flashed successfully I did a fastboot reboot, but then got stuck in the "Dual Core" splash screen. Reboot into recovery mode and noticed recovery was downgraded to v3.2.0.0 (from v3.2.0.5 that I had before) and did a restore from that recovery, that seemed to work for me, and waiting for the xoom to finish booting up now (normal splash screen). Everything works!!

I have HMJ33 Test keys (3.1) which I just realized. This was given to me as a gift by someone else. Will I have any issues updating this to 3.2

Also have the issues with connectivity after update.

Encountered the following issue:
1. All works fine with 3g connection
2. Turn on WiFi and connect to the access point with wpa2-psk protection
3. Turn off WiFi and I have no more 3g connectivity until device reboot.

Tested with two different Asus wireless routers (RT-N15 and RT-N13U)
