I decided to send my Xoom for the lte upgrade cause I wanted ics. I just got it back. Powered it on enabled the lte just to activate it like Verizon said and noticed low signal. Switched back to cdma mode for 3g and noticed same power, 50%. Before the upgrade I had near 100% sitting in house. This was before I rooted and installed ics. So didn't think anything till I took it to work where I was able to use it fine in the building but now has troubles staying connect to the cdma mode that I have it set to. Sitting in parking lot enabled lte saw again 50% signal, disabled it then used cdma also 50% where I used to have 100%.

I have read several issues about this upgrade but no resolution. I am about to open it up and verify the antenna connectors arent damaged and installed properly but seeing if there is any other solutions. Tried the reinsert sim card and no go.

Well opened up my Xoom at work and checked all the antenna cables and connectors under a scope and only thing I found was cold solder joints on pretty much all connectors. Cleaned these up and reflowed the solder and noticed in building when powering up connecting to 4g happened faster. Now at home switched to cdma and have almost full signal once again. So those who had problems may be good idea to send to friend or someone to inspect these connectors.
