Heres a little article i put together displaying the back panel of my Xoom getting stripped to bare metal then polished up to a smooth mirror like finish.

the polish kit can be purchased from most automotive diy stores or good hardware vendor.

I was actually going to do this also after reading about the chrome finish on the sensation. I just havent had the time to do it cuz of work but once i have time i will do it with my sensation and xoom

You could just use 1000 grit and end up with a brushed aluminum look

This is no good for me i keep my Xoom in the folio case or the gel cover at all times..looks good though.

IT did take some time, i did it in 5 stages - once a week over 5 weeks - starting with sanding and slowly reaching the mirror finish on week 5 ....
