:) I completely agree and cannot wait another second for it.

I haven't personally tried any quad core tablet, however there's no comparison between my xoom and my old advent vega (which was good, but the viewing angles were terrible) and with my dad's galaxy tab 10". they're all terribly sluggish.
why wait? Team EOS has jelly bean builds for wingray and stingray

Actually the xoom on jelly bean is smoother in landscape mode. It has always been like this. If you compare the xoom in landscape versus the nexus in portrait, you will see that the xoom is actually really close in speed.

Hey everyone,

Made this video to compare the 2., You can see the clear winner as far as 'butter' experience goes. I'm happy with both, but I thought I share :)

DISREGARD THAT I VIDEO, use this instead. I shut the live wallpaper off on xoom, and she sped up quite a bit use this video to analyze instead

Ok well my thread got locked in favor of this one...

I know many people prefer this over that. Here are some reasons why I prefer my Xoom...

It's not so much the size, nexus 7 is pretty much minimum size, it works. But 10 is perfect for an portable tablet

4G LTE is awesome. Perfect example is today. We're doing OCIS at my armory today (gear inventory) and there is alot of downtime once hour gear is checked. I brought my Xoom with me and I'm able to browse the net and all other fun stuff while waiting for others to get checked. And im not draining the battery on my phone either.

It's fast enough for what I usually do, and that's browse the net.

I couldn't do these things with the nexus because it's lacking the cellular radios... :)

I will be checking to verify when I'm home, but how can that be?

Hmm ever since honeycomb, the xoom is always smoother in landscape mode than in portrait mode. I suppose the tablet mode in android is more optimized for landscape mode. I thought that is the general experience for most xoom users?

I never used it in portrait mode, maybe that's why. Lol

good comparisons, i may have missed it but did you change any of the EOS performance tweaks or did you leave it as is?

and also how did you enable the dock and the homescreen transitions? for the life of me i cant find those anywhere

I'm not sure if eos has tweaks for jb yet. If yes, I didn't touch it.

They are in the desktop> scroll effect you need prime to get all of them

Having owned a few non-Nexus/Google Experience devices, the Xoom is the way to go if you want a 10.1" screen and proper software updates/development. There are plenty of products out with better hardware and the Asus tablets have the sweet dock option and get nice updates, to be fair.

With that said, no regrets for me on my Xoom wifi. I'm really really really hoping we get a proper successor in the form of a 10.1" Nexus tablet. I won't be grabbing it as I feel the Xoom has plenty of life left, but a 10.1" Nexus Tablet line of products would be great and would give me hopes for a proper upgrade in 1-2 more years.

So I have really falling back in love with my 4G Xoom since EOS has been dropping JB nightlies. Running 112 right now and have yet to really find any issues except for my Xoom running smoother than it ever has lol. I can't really come up with a good reason to get a nexus 7 except for the fact that it is slightly more portable and perhaps could fit in a jacket pocket?

Again, like I already commented on Youtube, using the xoom in portrait mode to compare performances with a Tegra 3 device is totally useless ... The portrait mode on any Tegra 2 device is always a lot more laggy than the landscape mode because of an internal processor issue which is known and already discussed in many threads. Whatever the Android version, a Tegra 2 device will always be laggy in portrait mode. So to measure the Xoom performances you should do it in landscape mode, and I am very surprised you never noticed any differences between portrait and landscape mode on your Xoom...

i'm sure thats true, but my G2x has a Tegra 2 and i notice no lag in portrait, but then again im not doing a side by side comparison with an SGS3 :)

That's because I never ever used it in portrait mode :)

Maybe I will do a part 3 tonight with both in their intended orientations, and the xoom will be oc'd at 1.6 to do it's best to catch up.

And people say it's not a fair comparison. I never said it was,I was showing what he xoom is capable of next to a latest and baddest device.

Yep. And you can never use it on the go unless you are doing tethering, which is eating 2 batteries...

It's kinda heavy though lol
