I tried it this days before you posted this and didn't work. If anyone try this., will have to clear market data to fix the updates

A whole week since the last post in this thread, and still no update for me.

To tell you the truth, I´m not sure which one is more disappointing, the lack of updates, or the lack of general interest in this beautiful machine... :confused:

Is My Xoom2 ME a UK model?

Could someone with a UK Xoom 2 ME who has received the update please post the build.prop from system folder. I have yet to get the update and now am having issues with the market that suggest mine is not a UK model, problems playing back movies including trailers, it says not available in your area.

lines in build prop

# Do not try to parse ro.build.description or .fingerprint
ro.build.description=fleming_emara_wifi-user 3.2 1.6.0_218.3-MZ607 1320423482 release keys
ro.build.fingerprint=Motorola/RTCOREEU/fleming:3.2/1.6.0_218.3-MZ607/1320423482:user/release-keys
# end build properties

fleming makes me think holland?

Literally just got the update and my device is downloading it now. I have the Xoom 2 Media Edition.

So, I'm guessing a wider roll-out is now happening, hopefully you all get it now too!

I checked my device and i have the update. Do we need this update before installing it for any development reason?

Did you root your device ? did you remove any system applications from the device ? i had no problems with updating my device ...
Strangely enough, the update only showed up on mine after I'd rooted it...but that may just be a coincidence :rolleyes:

However, the flickering icons in Market have now stopped, so I'm waiting to find other improvements.

Hi, everyone.
Having trouble with an update. It stucks on MCDownloadManager verification. Can please, someone with a rooted device upload MCDownloadManager.apk and MCDownloadManager.odex from the /system/app folder?
My device is UK XOOM 2 16gb wifi.
Many thanks.

Problems with widgets after update

My Xoom 2 ME updated fine this afternoon, however it is not very happy since the update.

- Google+ crashes (in the background) constantly - several times an hour.

- I am running GoLauncher HD and I have no normal widgets available, the widgets I was using (Gmail, Evernote etc) have all disappeared to be replaced by error notices.

Anyone else having problems with widgets ?

Thanks. I restored the system apps I'd removed and the update installed :)

Device seems more responsive overall and everything works great!

the most noticeable update is graphics performance, In some benchmarks that i made i saw 50 % improvement and 15-20 % overall improvement ... with few classic android tweaks the device responsiveness is much better than before and i haven't try overclocking the device yet ... I hope this update will be more stable too ... The only issue that i have is with google+ that force closing all the time :)

Jesus. I'm rooted with a 10.1 xoom 2 UK. Just got the update and nothing. It will not install it? I have not removed any application's??? When I connect to motousb, and 'check for updates' it tells me an update 'is currently updating'???

Am I missing something here? I or because I'm rooted, and it will not update?

Anyone with info please help!

I installed an update to G+ from Google Play and it stopped the force close issue...

i'm rooted and the update came through.... I didn't connect through Motousb though, just went into settings and checked for the update in there.

I have a UK wifi Xoom 2 ME, and I'm in Australia. Not rooted. (Yet)

I've been waiting patiently for this update, and then last night I got curious about the people who mentioned they might have been selected for this updated based on their membership on the Motorola forums, and/or device registration.

I gave it a shot, and signed up with my email associated with my Google account, and registered the device too. I think I ticked all the boxes to be part of feedback programs along the way.

Can't have been more than an hour later, I checked for software updates, and it had found the update.

So, not sure if this was just a coincidence, but if you're keen to get the update, it couldn't hurt to try signing up on the Motorola forums and registering your device.
