MZ607 Haven't been upgraded yet...

Hi guys! Anyone that is a MZ607 owner in Brazil have already received the ICS upgrade via OTA (without any alteration in the original system)? What OS version was yours? My MZ607 is still with the Android 3.2 (v.1.208.11.MZ607.Brasil.en.BR) since I have bought it (in January 4th)... and nothing of upgrade...:( In contact with Motorola it was told me that the upgrades is going to be until December 9, after that the upgrades will be made by Authorized Technical Assistants.

Best regards! :D

@pex.. - how about just enjoying your tablet.
Stop the silly race to get the latest update for the os and just use the tablet.
Yes..exactly..enjoy what we have presently..and all the other will work out..with patients and avoiding all the "silly" things..

+1 >> For each user that complain about the OS and the tablet.

This tablet is a nice product, with an stock nice version, more closer of the original by Google, and a tablet that full almost all about desires: otg, hdmi, gorila glass, dual core, not pricey, beautifull, functional, stable, big space to a lot of games, pretty nice for business, and fit any hands.

In general, I agree.
But you have to admit that the topic sugests an anticipation about what is new/debuged/feature rich(er).

I enjoy my tablet every day, and I 'd love to enjoy it in many more ways.
Maybe, give my better half the chance to use it, with another account.
I think everybody would.

I agree on the "stop be ungrateful to what you have in your hands" part. I understand the will to enjoy a better machine, though.

I'd be happy enough with ICS if the foot-king speakers worked the way they were supposed to ~ they still advertise on Motorala website it's got active surround-sound or summat ~ mine just uses the speakers at the narrow end all the time - which is rubbish when watching a video (

Okay, so you tell me to enjoy what I got? Well, I got a Xoom 2 ME with malfunctioning speakers and wifi since the 4.0.4 update.
Can I at least expect the features that are described at Motorolas web page and on the Xooms box to work, or is that too much?

Anybody here remember the Google Android Update Alliance? Google together with the OEMs promised major updates to the devices for at least 18 months.

Lets see, the Xoom 2 ME is just over a year old, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean has been out for 8 months now.

And who owns Motorola again? Yes, Google!

All I am asking for is an answer if we will get another update which fixes the bugs in the 4.0.4 update and if we will get 4.1 or not.

I wouldn't have high hopes for that, but, there is a merchant in Brazil that is selling MZ608 (Xoom 2 ME 3G) telling that Motorola said device will receive Android 4.1 update...

Again, I wouldn't have high hopes for that, since, first, merchants are known (specially here in Brazil) for telling whatever rubbish they need to sell whatever is not selling and in stock (here merchants buy from resellers, they can't simply send back the items they do not sell)... Also, there are some respectable people that known people that work for Motorola that already said that internally it is well known that ICS 4.0.4 is the end of the road for this device...

I surely agree that an update to fix the issues that came with 4.0.4 is an obligation, let's hope Motorola does that. If JB comes, I'll be surprised... Heck, even if a 4.0.4 fix comes, I'll be surprised, this is Motorola after all...

Thank you, if you look at https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/country-selector/software-upgrade you will see that some countries get the message "This device will remain on Android 4.0.4 (ICS)." while other countries get "This device is currently running Android 4.0.4 (ICS). Stay tuned for an upgrade decision."

So if we are lucky they are still evaluating JB on the device. I just wish we could get an answer soon, no update = sell and move on, update coming = keep.
