I am looking for a sound file in xperia 1, I really like it and want to use it as my phone ringtone but I can only find it under the Alarm sounds on the phone, it is named Xperia but is not the same tone as the one under Ringtones...is anyone able to source the original file for me somehow please?

@j.hmc
Check it with any file explorer in
/system/media/audio/ringtones/ or alarms and copy it to internal storage.
There is an option of add ringtones in it. That way you can use it.

can one get an Xperia 1 with J8170 firmware and flash J9110 firmware...will it other network bands or are they locked into the device?

Exactly, you need to use newflasher and Xperiflasher.
Download firmware with XperiFlasher and after downloaded and unpacking move newflasher files into it and start there. :good:

Actually I did for my J9110 to J9150 Professional and all was good. The model was changed and everything but Xperia Companion still recognized it as J9110.
