The "USB on the Go" is wicked, better than Nokia implementation cos it supports other devices! We lose root for awhile though, but this is awesome!

The Mini/Pro don't have HDMI out sockets though - so not sure there is much use of being able to control your phone with a keyboard and mouse!

Why should we? Unlock bootloader, flash boot.img (if you cant use the old one, I'm pretty sure doomlord will provide us with a new image!), root phone via superoneclick and everything is fine

or probably you can just flash a rooted image

all the phone's u mentioned are 2010 model's and w8 is 2011 but thats a diff panel.
