Ugh I have to wait till my battery is at least 50% before I can install this! So excited tho!!

Looks like its rolling out only for dual sim version at the moment but i guess who has the single sim will have it in 1-2 days
I just updated my G8142 to 8.0 through Wi-Fi. Phone is really much faster awesome. Rest of my experience I will share later when I will explore it more.
Only for dual for now but checked xpericheck and the single sim has a commercial and journalism that's been updated so expect maybe by the end of the month max

Improved sound quality – Tuning improvements to the front-facing stereo speakers, and Qualcomm® aptX™ HD audio**** support for high-quality sounds when using wireless headphones

Are the speakers actually louder now or am I just assuming things?

I don't think you are assuming about the speakers. One of the things that was included was "speakers sound enhancement".
Has the 4K HDR playback issue on YouTube been solved with the Oreo update?
