com.android.phone has stopped

I keep getting "com.android.phone has stopped", followed by my data connection dropping and the screen locking. Anyone else?
Yeah. "com.android.phone has stopped" every time I try to check voicemail, only since the Oreo update. And no visual voicemail, prob because the phone app "cannot retrieve voicemail". I can call in and listen to voicemail, so the phone still works. Cleared cache and cleared data in phone app, and in SIM tools. still happens.

I'm on CE1 firmware on US model G8142. Updated to Oreo OTA.

That happens to me almost every time any app is updated via the Play Store. Goes back to normal right away, but it is kind of annoying.

I am on the Vodafone UK build 45.0.A.7.137-R8A and was wondering if there was a way I could update to the Oreo build 47.1.A.3.254 without waiting for my provider to release their variant of the update?

Hi guys I can confirm that I just got the official Oreo Update on my G8141!

UK Vodafone :)

Not sure why we had to wait that long as the dual Sims got theirs 2 weeks ago.

Now it's a matter of hoping not to encounter any of the reported battery drain issues T_T

I only got the device this week on Vodafone UK and got impatient waiting for the update so I flashed the Commercial and Journalists version using newflasher last night, if I had waiting a few more hours I would of got it ota today myself lol. I'm loving how fast the device is now and so far have not run into any problems, the only thing that is different for me and I guess it is because of the version of the update I flashed is that I have LTE showing instead of 4G when I'm connected to mobile data.

Mate I read your post from last night as I was typing mine about finally getting the update and I was worried for you :crying: I'm glad to hear that the update went really well @lintern :D

Yh I'm loving the new update so far too!!! The device seems to be smoother than before and there's absolutely no issues that I can comment on so far.

I have taken a few pictures to test out the camera in low light environments and I was very happy with the results. I will post the pictures here as soon as I get permission to do so.

I was feeling worried about any possible battery drain issues and thankfully the battery seems to be performing better than before! I won't be able to tell for definite until I spend a few more days testing the battery performance.

How are you guys with the G8141 (non dual sim) version getting on with the new update? :)

When is oreo getting released in Australia

All is working for me absolutely fine. LTE showing instead of 4G is odd as I'm used to the 4G icon. The version of the update I flashed removed the Vodafone apps off my device which has freed up a little bit of space. I'm very happy with this phone.
