Sin editor for extracting the system image does not seem to work.
Got the system image extracted to larger file using 7zip, but the the big 5GB file is not readable in ext2explorer. Any ideas?

Sony has again changed the .sin format, we will have to wait until someone comes up with a solution how to unpack those files.

anybody success in flash fw for xzp? i know that now flashtools is not supported yet. but xflasher new version does (accroding to developer), anyhow i downloaded fw and try to flash it with no luck. then i see this post about sin file edit tools to make it work but i do not know how to use it to the firmware i already downloaded. anyone have guide on this sin editer?

I can do all things for you but need your litle help! Some things which I need by now:

1. does this tool https://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/tool-unpack-format-sony-kernel-image-t3530077 extracts sin v4??
2. for adding support for flashing I will need also some help, see post https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72559220&postcount=178

These two things by now, later I will try to implement everything need for new sin format and new s1 protocol. I am downloading 45.0.A.1.229 fw and will analyse right now

That one is for 2017 models only, but I have another tool called xflasher for older devices
