can we not take the whole x2 firmware and make it into a rom (changing things like camera software etc)? or does in need to be heavily modified to work on the x1?

this rom was made from the x2 dump that gtrab made, then the software had to be re-built and cabed. this is firmware downloaded that has had the original cabs inside.
ps. certain software like slideview could not be rebuilt as files were missing from the dump.
the rom that u are using was made with the dump files and other files to make a custom rom. this firmware is the official x2 rom in full but not in a rom file that we can flash onto the x1.
I couldn't unpack it like any HTC roms, also tools for other phones can't do it. All I got is IMGFS, but it is in another format, too

I can't get slideview to work. I installed all the dependencies and nothing. I've also tried installing all the cabs and still can't get it to work. Can someone help me out? My rom is the SEX1 R5 Barebone Second Build

in the rom it are cabs towould you mind sharing packages instead of cabs....even better the whole dump....so we chefs can take advantage of it and offer sth nice.....installing all these cabs is too annoying !!

*.SDR is rather old format (just another extension). But no tools can understand it fully
ok i have cooked X2 stuff before and i definitely know how to create packages....it's just i want untouched oems.....registry and the things that of course couldn't be made into packages...like maybe the sys folder
There are no untouched oems. And they won't be before official X2's release.
Little manual "How to unpack cabs from firmware"
1) Drop *.sdr file to ExtractCabs.exe
2) Select speed (16x is the fastest, 1x can give you one more cab (not useful anyway))
3) Press "Extract"
4) Go to %AppPath%\cabs\ folder, enjoy

dont know if its just my phone, but the tilewave panel doesnt seem to open the default sms app or the default browser when their tiles are touched. The one hour bug is fixed btw

I did a cab extractor which I thought I'd share.
Its written in C#.NET (needs .NET Framework v2.0) and searches through a file for embedded cab file signatures.
It attempts to detect most of the cab file header so it should be reasonable at discarding false positives.

I cant seem to apply the .reg file for DRM. :< I tried 2 versions ofresco now and still get error

And I've changed my Panel button to SlideView with a Registry Editor with:
Change:
HKLM\Software\SonyEricsson\PanelManager\ApplicationName to
\SlideView\SlideView.exe
And don't install:
XKeyHandler_R55.CAB
The Panel button won't work anymore and you can't deinstall it!
