Hmm. My doesn't seem to work. Tap to sleep does, but tap to wake doesn't. Yes, it is on in settings. I can open cover and it works.

Not sure if I'm a keep it or If I do it wouldn't be my permanent use, I'm leaning towards naked phone as I normally use.

It's just strange it doesn't work

Edit: reviewed settings, toggled on/off tap to wake still nothing. Turn on/off cover, still no dice. Head scratcher for me, indeed

Thxs augie... It's just strange one would work and not the other. The proximity sense is exposed thru the cut out... So I'm not sure. Actually it's a pretty sweet case without the front cover, I like the snug fit.
Well I appreciate you checking again, I was about to go crazy... Now Imma keep playing around with it to figure out why it doesn't work.

Any photos of the blue XZ in the white style cover, or vice versa, or any other combo? Same color case and phone seems a bit boring...

I advice the Orzly smoked case guys. It fits the phone perfectly ;)

not a big fan of the case. I found it a bit slippery and it really doesnt offer much protection. However it does the job until something better comes along. Sony phones dont seem to get a lot of love when it comes to cases.

I've just emailed Spigen asking them when they releasing cases for the XZ.

I had their case on my Z5 with the Air Cushion Technology, it really does protect your phone and was very well bulit.

Keep you guys posted of their response.

I got the Terrapin Sony Xperia XZ Case - TPU Gel https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M1IUTP1/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

For me, it's a lot better than the Orzly case. For some reason the matte black isn't an option anymore which is the one I have.
While it offers good protection, it's aesthetically not the most pleasing and doesn't take into account the slight curve of the screen. However, what i find really annoying is the cutout for the fingerprint. It's completely useless for the thumb and i couldn't even register it as it threw errors because it could only register a partial print.

P.S i have average sized hands

What I don't like about Style Cover Touch so far is two things:

1. There's nothing to keep the flap closed. There's no magnetic or static attachment of the flap to the screen. There's no mechanical latch. The flap is basically allowed to flap around freely. Some sort of magnetic attraction would have been nice.

2. There's no option to ask the phone to go to sleep when the flap is manually closed. I know that the idea of Style Cover Touch is that you can use the phone through the flap, but still it would be nice to have that as an option. The flap can wake the phone up, but it cannot put it back to sleep. This is quite illogical.

---

What I don't like about soft-shell TPU cases (including Orzly) is that they always peel away at the edges as one puts the phone into their pocket (or pulls it out), thus collecting lint and other stuff between the case and the phone.

Does anyone have any positive experience with any hard cases for this phone? Like those aluminum ones?
