Xperia Z Battery Issues Discussion Thread

I have same problem

But after doing this steps solved my problem

uninstalling Google play service to default version and download Google play service apk 5.0 from Google and install it.
Switch off mobile and charge it for 100

My settings
android device manager enabled
GPS enabled

After doing this
Monitored for last 4 hour

I watched 1 hour of Video with Bluetooth enabled headset
And also did some calling but still it has 70 of battery

May it will be useful......

But I'm not satisfied with Battery and audio output.
I can live with low audio output as I listen most of my music via earphones. As of now I am satisfied with battery performance(4.1.2). I want to update my phone to Kitkat.
But I can't live without battery life.
I ve heard very poor battery performance of Xperia Z(Kitkat) :what:.So,
Is it advisable to update to KitKat 4.4.2. Xperia Z Kitkat users please provide your feedback.
PS: I'm new to Xda.

Is advisable yes, but root your phone with towelroot, download xposed+ bootmanager/adaway/ xprivacy, download greenify and wakelock detector, and lastly download " disable service" to disable within googleplayservices the locationsservices and maybe, if u dont use, the wearables services. My phone overnight in say 7-8 hours only 1% batteryloss , meaning it doesnt consume battery anymore when not used. Thats what u want i think ? cheers.

Btw in Kitkat battery drain Fix thread here at xda in Xperiaz forum is exactly what to disable to get optimum battery life ?

Try clearing cache and dalvik cache.. Use Ondemand governor even if u are on Stock kernel.. Also u may wanna avoid your hands touching the space below the camera.. XZ has always heated a lot and its safe until it reaches 90 degrees.. But 80 is almost same and u may wanna check for battery's health once.. Mine's never crossed 61 degrees with CPU and 45 with battery.. 80 actually isnt a case with normal scenario..

Your battery is pretty good

Stock Rom, with Greenify and Xposed, and XzKernel v26, but as said! Mobile data was deactivated the whole time! no exceptions. No mobile data plan only Wifi

Location services mainly, google analythics doesnt matter ( i'd say., not sure) but you wont be able to get google maps or stuff running without localisation services.

New XZ user here ...I'm currently on KitKat 4.4.2 (C6603) 10.5.A.0.230 and considering flashing latest KitKat 4.4.4 using Flashtool ,,,,will battery consumption be worse.. BTW rooted with Towelroot
Are stock roms better for battery compared to custom?

Someone help me plz my XZ is losing too much battery overnight (about 7-8h), it's about 15% battery, but sometime just 2-3% battery @@ i had tried so many rom and there was nothing change. So, can I get a quick summary of how to fix the google play services battery drain? After re-installing the stock rom to fix a reboot issue, im back to 95% usage of battery by google play services.
