First,restart ya computer,your adb has some kind of issue
Second,the only thing u can do is revert back to the 5.0.2 firmware,root it and install a recovery.
Third,download a pre-rooted 5.1.1 firmware then flash it via the recovery u installed

Sir, I am not able to figure out how you fixed the error "unable to set up expected mounts for install ".
This error shows up everytime i try to flash any mod which i previously used on 5.0 lollipop like xposed installer, call recorder etc.
I am unable to flash through both internal storage and sd card. I have a locked bootloader.I am on customised US 5.1.1. c6602.
Any help would be appreciated.:confused:

Before flashing this,which firmware were u on?for C6602 or C6603?
For xposed,u have to use the one for 5.1.1 not the one you were using before!

Before flashing 5.1.1 i was on 5.0.
I am now on 5.1.1., c6602.
I cannot flash anything, not even the bootanimation mod, call recording mod,
It displays the error as i mentioned above. i.e. "failed to set up expected mounts for install".

The people that have encountered your error have an unlocked bootloader but for for you i don't why you are having that error
Try to flash the rom again.maybe something went wrong.And make the necessary wipes!
Let me know if it works :D

Pre-requisites:
Before we go any further, Please check your phone model number by going to Settings -> about phone -> Model number, If yours match this Number C6602, Then you are good to go.
Make sure your phone's battery is above 50% charge.
Original USB cable.

Installation steps for the .zip file and kernel:
1 Download the Rom and the Kernel
2 Put the zip file and kernel in your external storage
3. Boot into recovery
4. Factory reset (wipe data, cache/dalvik)
5. First flash ROM
6. (Warning! Only do this step if you have your bootloader unlocked,if not skip this step)Now navigate to advanced sony kernel (named boot.img) and flash it as boot when it asks.This step if for fixing the system mount error for those on an Unlocked Bootloader
7. Restart your device and let it boot for few minutes
8. Set it up and reboot to recovery to make backup and be sure everything works

Now you are good to go.Enjoy your new rom :p :D

Steps for installation of the FTF file via flashtool

1.Go to C:Flashtool and run Flashtool.exe,
2.Click on the Flash icon in the left, Select Flashmode and press OK.
3.From the source folder in the top navigate to the folder where you downloaded the FTF file and press OK.
4.Select the FTF file from the Firmware menu and click Flash.
Now wait until a window prompts asking you to plug your phone with USB cable.
Power off your device.
Press the volume down button and plug the USB cable, The update should begin...
Wait until the update is completed, Unplug the USB cable and reboot your device.
The first boot should take some time...

Now you are good to go.Enjoy your new rom :p :D

So far the only way to have root is to flash a pre-rooted 5.1.1 rom.
Since you are already on the 5.1.1 firmware,you'll have to downgrade to the 5.0.2 firmware,root it(the easiest way is to use Kingroot),install recovery(i recommend the XZDualrecovery),download the pre-rooted 5.1.1 rom and flash it via the new recovery u installed.

i have downloaded the 5.0.2 rom, but its a .zip file... i want to confirm that, to flash rom the file should be .zip or other, i hope you understand,

It's not supposed to be a zip file.it's supposed to be a ftf file.
Unzip it and if u get ala ftf file then that's the correct one. If not,then u hav to find the correct file
